The kitchen is fully equipped and a pleasure to cook in with views to the mountains, the dining area has french doors which lead to a wrap around balcony also with views to the mountains and the sea. On the north side of the villa 4 steps up from the living room are 2 double bedrooms. Bedroom # 1 has an adjacent bathroom with an ex-large tub, beautiful view to the sea. Bedroom #2 has views to the sea and mountains and a private terrace overlooking the pool area. On the south side of the villa also 4 steps up from the living room are 2 bedrooms. Bedroom # 3 has a double bed and 2 windows which look out onto the courtyard and the backyard. Bedroom # 4 has 2 single beds and a sofa bed (baby crib available) with one large window overlooking a garden and patio, also has a separate entrance. There are 2 bathrooms with showers. The swimming pool has an amazing view with palm trees lining the edge and overlooking the sea and town below. The pool is 12m x 5m, 100 - 300cm deep, with an attached children's pool 70cm. There are plenty of lounge beds, chairs and tables for your relaxation. We have an outdoor refrigerator, sink, grill and bar. There is a nice kidney shaped homemade pond with waterfall, table tennis and a hammock swing. The backyard is a great place for kids to run and play, we provide a basketball hoop and ball, badminton/volleyball net with equipment and other toys for children. The Villa Gems operates from April until October. It is an ideal place for families and can comfortably accommodate 9-10 people. A car is essential and there is private parking. It is centrally located on the Island of Crete 84 km from Iraklion airport and 74 km from Chania airport. The Village of Rousospiti is nestled in the hills 5 km above the town of Rethymno, Crete. Within walking distance you can find a mini-market (best fresh-bread every morning), 2 restaurants and a nice park for children. There are walking and hiking paths and Mili Gorge is nearby. The town and beaches of Rethymno is a picturesque 10 minute drive away. You can enjoy the museums and the ancient ruins. In the "Old" town you will find cobble stone streets lined with quaint shops, cafes and tavernas. The beach offers a nice board walk, water-sports and excursions by boat.
