THE SPACE
The house originally was not designed as a rental. It is a family house which still accommodates the owners for a small part of the year. It has been restored and renovated in 2007, thus a lot of personal belongings, artwork and furniture with a long history behind them are present in the house. The residence offers one bedroom with a double bed, one bedroom with two single beds and a third bedroom which is equipped with a single sofa bed and a single folding bed. Two spacious and fully equipped bathrooms are available. One bathroom comes with a bathtub and the other one with a shower. A fully equipped kitchen with several appliances, and a living room with a dining hall. The front terrace, covering an area of 150 square meters is ideal for all the times of the day, having both shaded and uncovered parts. The guests have also access to a balcony at the back of the house, with a view to a hill covered by a dense forest. Guests can be accommodated during all seasons. There is air conditioning and ceiling fans for the summer months and electric heaters for the winter months. Wi-Fi internet access is available, as well as cable TV and a mini stereo system. The house is located over one of the best tavern of the village, which operates from April to October, offering delicious traditional cuisine. Private arrangements and ordering of food in the house from the tavern is also possible upon request. At the front of the house, at the morning times, the fishing boats which reach the port sell their freshly caught fish. Clean sets of bedsheets and towels will be available in the house. As an additional service, changing of the bedsheets and towels, and cleaning of the house at regular times is possible with a supplementary charge.

THE NEIGHBORHOOD
Around the house numerous taverns and cafes can be found. Supermarkets, grocery stores, bakeries, pharmacy and ATMs are located at a three minutes walking distance. A car/motorcycle/bike rental shop is also located behind the house. The community healthcare center is located at a five minutes driving distance. During the summer months the area around the house is pleasantly alive, surrounded by shops, cafes and taverns, yet quiet enough to enjoy a peaceful holiday. Do note though that the availability of the shops is lower during winter months. Traffic around the house is light. Nevertheless, during the summer months and in the evening times, the roadway at the front of the house is being closed for traffic, leaving a nice pedestrian road, where you can take a nice walk by the marina. At a distance of 150 meters from the house you can find the beginning of the hiking paths which lead to the mountains behind the house and to the ancient Acropolis of Sami. A fantastic historical site that you should not miss!

HOUSE RULES
There are no standard check in and check out times. For that reason please communicate with the hosts your travel plan. Arrangements regarding the check in and check out will be made accordingly. Pets are not allowed in the house. Parties and events are also prohibited and smoking is only allowed at the balcony and at the terrace.

Communication with the hosts is possible if necessary. The hosts are reachable for answering questions and addressing urgent matters. A small welcoming introduction and information about the place and sightseeing will be also provided. Communication by mail or through the renting internet platform can be done in English, Greek and Dutch. Communication in person can be done in English and Greek.

DISTANCES AND FURTHER SIGHTSEEING
Distances and further sightseeing
Argostoli is at a 35 minutes driving distance, Argostoli airport is 45 minutes driving, Poros is 40 minutes driving, Assos and Fiskardo are 55 minutes and 1 hour driving respectively. Do not miss the chance to visit at least a few of the breathtaking beaches of Kefalonia. It wouldn’t be possible to name them all, however, some of the most famous ones are Myrtos, Foki, Agia Sofia and Xi. From Sami you may also very easily visit Ithaki, a smaller but very beautiful island next to Kefalonia. During summer a small boat makes the trip to the island twice every day. The trip takes about an hour.

ABOUT US
My name is Dimitris and this is the house where my mother’s family lived in until 1979 before they moved to Athens. The house stayed in the family and since today it remains a vacation house for us and for our guests. Kefalonia is the place where my heart lies in and I am grateful that I am able to spend my holidays at such a place. I am a thirty year old engineer currently living in the Netherlands but I grew up in Greece and spent all of my summers and other holidays at Kefalonia. I am glad I can share the house with guests and I hope that they will also discover why this is an exceptional island and develop the same connection as me and my family have.
