The Symbol of the Town of Senj
and its centuries-long battle for honor and freedom from the Ottomans and Venice, on the shore and at sea

Ivan Lenković, the captain of the Senj Uskoks, ordered all churches and monasteries outside the town walls to be destroyed and a new fortress on the Trbušnjak hill to be built.🏰

Today, the fortress serves primarily as a museum.

Nehaj fortress is 10 minutes on foot from the center of the Town of Senj.
