Apartment Vanilla, Split, Croatia A beautiful 4.5 star Studio apartment, located a stone throw away from the UNESCO - listed Diocletian's Palace and the elegant Riva Promenade.

Dobar Dan (Good Day) A small bus ride from Apartment Vanilla, will take you to the wonderful coastal town of Omis.
Some call it the gateway of the Dalmatia. Omis is a small town and harbour located between Split and Makarska, situated in the mouth of the Cetina river, surrounded with massive gorges. In the past Omis was notorious becuse of the pirates of Omis whose ships were a centuries-long symbol of retaliation, courage and strength. The evidences of proud and turbulent Omis history can be found on every corner of the Omis Riviera.

Dobro Jutro (Good Morning). Apartment Vanilla is located 5 minutes away from the famous Saint Dominus Cathedral.
The cathedral is situated in a complex of Diocletian's Palace at the Peristyle and was originally an imperial mausoleum built in the early 4th century cathedral, and it is the oldest cathedral in the world. The building's exterior is octagonal shape. Portal of the cathedral is also an ancient origin. The bell tower of the Cathedral of St. Duje is one of the most original church towers along the Adriatic coast. The construction ot the bell-tower began in the mid-13th century and lasted until about the mid-16th century. Due to the extremely long period of construction, a combination of Romanesque and Gothic architecture, but both styles are in excellent agreement. In the decorative elements Romanesque style dominates, and the architectural design of clarity belongs to the Gothic architectural style. The bell tower is a distinctive architectural work, specifically for its slenderness and transparency, by narrowing down the staircase to the top, and fitting in antique architectural environment, because the use of cornices and capitals, in the format of openings and arches, arcades corresponds to the Peristyle.

Dobra Večher (Good Evening). Apartment Vanilla is in close walking distance to the famous statue, Gregory of Nin. It is a heavily trafficked tourist site in the town, which the toe of the statue shows. Rubbing or kissing the statue's toe is said to bring good luck. The toe has been worn smooth and shiny as a result.

The statue was originally located in the Peristyle of Diocletian's Palace and can be seen in postcards of the pre-World War II period. During World War II, the statue was moved outside the city by Italian occupying forces. Currently, the statue sits to the north of the Palace and Old Town of Split, just outside the Golden Gate.
