We are honored to announce the second edition of Hitchcock Nights, featuring a rich program dedicated to Sir Alfred Hitchcock. This year, audiences can once again enjoy screenings of his excellent films, as well as an exhibition of photographs and posters inspired by his works. Additionally, there will be a variety of exclusive events focused on photography and film, where the people of Zadar will pay tribute to this renowned director. The event will take place from August 25th to September 1st.

The Zadar Research Library gives a historical storytelling tour “Zadar – la Belle Époque” in English on occasion of its 168th birthday

The Zadar Research Library celebrates its 168th anniversary by organization of the historical storytelling tour titled “Zadar – la Belle Époque” in cooperation with Josip Matassi, licenced tour guide. This cultural tour inspired by a written heritage of the Research Library was organised so far twice in Croatian. On the occasion of Library's birthday (18 August) it will be presented in English for the second time. We invite all foreign visitors of our city as well as all English speaking culture lovers to join the storytelling tour on Friday, 18 August at 7:00 p.m. starting from the Library's yard (Ante Kuzmanića 3). Vladimir Papaffava alias Josip Matassi will take you to stroll the streets of Zadar back to 1910 and evoke spirit of Zadar in the period known as la belle époque.
Don't miss this free opportunity to discover Zadar as it was in its golden age.
The historical storytelling tour “Zadar – la Belle Époque” is an outcome of the EU project ADRINETBOOK carried out by the Agency for Rural Development of Zadar County with participation of the Zadar Research Library. Promotion of cultural heritage through tourism is one of the key goals of the project funded by Interreg Adrion programme.

Dolazak nevere i pripadajućeg shelf oblaka danas popodne u Zadar. Zbog položaja centra ciklone danas su nam nevere dolazile sa istoka, što je dosta rijetka situacija, jer ovakve prizore obično opažamo kako dolaze sa zapada. Ovo je bila prva i najljepša od tri nevere koje su danas prešle preko Zadra

The arrival of the storm and its shelf cloud this afternoon in Zadar. Due to the position of the center of the cyclone today storms were coming from the east, which is a much rarer situation, because we usually see such sights coming from the west. This was the first and most beautiful of the three storms that passed over Zadar today
