Selamat Pagi we would like to give information to you all on Gunung Agung volcano.

Firstly yes yesterday Monday 2nd July 2018 Mount Agung had several small eruptions and at about 9:00 pm had a larger eruption sending "hot rocks" incandescent lava into the air for about 7 minutes reaching up to 2 km from the volcanos crater.

This was caused from pressure within the volcano as a possible build up from the eruption on the 28th of June where new lava is suspected to have blocked ventilation shafts. Therefore a pressure build up now vented.

The expulsion of incandesebt lava last night started a number of large fires on Mount Agung and residents in the 4 km zone were evacuated.

Good news is the alert level for Agung has not been raised and the exclusion zone around the crater remains at two-and-a-half miles (4km).

Skyes are clear in Seminyak today, the airport is open and the Balinese people happy and looking forward to welcome you all to Bali as is the team at AusIndo Bali Villas 😊

Pertama kemarin Senin 2 Juli 2018 Gunung Agung mengalami beberapa letusan kecil dan sekitar pukul 21.00 memiliki letusan yang lebih besar dan melontarkan “batu panas” ke udara selama sekitar 7 menit hingga mencapai 2 km dari kawah gunung berapi.

Ini disebabkan dari tekanan di dalam gunung api yg kemungkinan disebabkan dari letusan pada 28 Juni di mana lava baru diduga telah menutup lubang ventilasi. Oleh karena itu, tekanan yang terbentuk sekarang harus dibuang.

Ledakan lava pijar semalam memicu sejumlah kebakaran besar di bagian atas Gunung Agung dan penduduk di zona 4 km dievakuasi.

Kabar baiknya adalah tingkat siaga gunung Agung belum dinaikkan dan zona pengecualian di sekitar kawah tetap berada di 2.5 mil (4 km).

Langit cerah di Seminyak hari ini, bandara masih tetap beroperasi dan orang Bali senang dan berharap untuk menyambut Anda semua ke Bali seperti halnya tim di AusIndo Bali Villas 😊

Evacuees from Mt. Agung return home after realizing falling ash is from fires on volcano's slopes but local residents urged to remain alert | Coconuts Bali

Recently there has been talk of Mt. Agung erupting. This is NOT true. Mt. Agung has had several minor tremors recently leading the government to upgrading the warning level. The fires, ash and smoke are not volcanic fires they are forest / grass fires caused from the dry conditions.

The media has sensationalized this news by showing footage of Mt. Rinjani in Lombok during past eruptions. Nothing like a good sensationalist story to sell more papers or attract more viewers.....

A fire smoldered along the slopes of Bali’s Mt. Agung, but the flames were not caused by recent volcanic activity, say officials.
