The Commins family would like to thank all of our friends, family, customers and followers for all the lovely messages and comments we received upon the passing of Kevin. We appreciate every single thought and gesture - and we know Kevin would too

It is with profound sadness that we share the news of our own Kevin Commins sudden passing today. A revered butcher for nearly 70 years, he was a master of his craft and the cornerstone of our shop, a stalwart in the industry, and a beloved figure locally.

Kevin was known for more than his exceptional skills; he was a true gentleman and the backbone of our family, who always made time for everyone, embodying the spirit of community and kindness. Our family is heartbroken by this immense loss.

As we grieve, we find some comfort in knowing that his legacy and butchery tradition will live on through his family and the many people he touched throughout his 81 years. Thank you for keeping our family in your thoughts during this profoundly difficult time.

The shop will be closed from 4pm tomorrow and reopen on Tuesday at 8.30am as a mark of respect.
