What an incredible week at Waterville Golf Links in Co Kerry, on the heavenly south-western tip of Ireland.
The 2023 World Invitational Father & Daughter Golf Tournament was the biggest and the best yet.
Congratulations to Andrew and Bridget McDonald of Australia, winners in the Net category, and to Allan and Katherine Vice of the USA, who came out well on top in the Gross section.
As everyone who has ever been to Father & Daughter will know, the whole week is about much more than the tournament.
The craic was great, the sessions and the singsongs went late, and everyone will leave Waterville today and head back home with the one thing we always aim for at Carr Golf Travel.
Memories for life.

And the winners are...
The 2023 World Invitational Father & Dauther Golf Tournament is over, and a massive congratulations to Andrew and Bridget McDonald!
Andrew and Bridget, of Metropolitan Golf Club in Melbourne, produced a fantastic performance over two days at Waterville Golf Links, posting a winning total of 95 points in the Better Ball Stableford format.
The McDonalds were the first Australian team to take part in the Father & Daughter.
What an achievement to take home the prize and post a new flag at the top of the roll of honour!
The runners-up were Ireland's Aidan and Adriana Mulloy with 91 points, and third place went to Mark and Caitlyn Shepherd of Canada with 89.
In the gross category, the winning team was Allan and Katherine Vice of the United States.
The Vices, of Nassau Country Club, exceptional three over par total was enough for a nine-shot winning margin, ahead of joint runners-up Michael and Anna Segal and Iyk and Jessica Dyksterhouse.
Finally, in the adopted category, the winners were Chris Lashmet and Olivia McCloy, also of the USA.
Congratulations to all the winners and well done to everyone who participated in the biggest and the best World Invitational Father & Daughter Golf Tournament yet!

The Open begins in Hoylake today, but there is no doubt about the most important tournament anywhere this week for the fathers and daughters who came from far and wide to Waterville Golf Links, Co Kerry.
The 15th World Invitational Father and Daughter Golf Tournament comes to an end on Thursday, and Day 1 ended with the great tradition of the annual Father and Daughter tournament sea swim.
The right answer to the question, "Is there anywhere in the world you'd rather be?" is "playing links golf".
To play links golf, then get in the sea on a glorious sunny evening in south-west Ireland, with other fathers and daughters from around the world .. .well, can it really get any better than that?

Whenever anybody asks, "where in the world would you rather be?", the answer is obvious.
"Playing links golf."
Of course.
One of the best weeks of the year takes place in north-west England. The 17th at Royal Liverpool - or Hoylake, as the course is known far and wide - is a brand new hole, and come Sunday, with its slopes, hollows and treachery on all sides of a raised green, this could become an overnight icon in Open history.
Martin Ebert, the architect behind the hole, said, "We want to create some drama at the end of the Open."
Let's see what happens come Sunday.
If the wind starts to blow, the heat will be up to 11 for anyone who stands here with 136 yards and the elements between them and a place in history.
We all know how magical links golf is in Ireland and Scotland.
But there's so much to savour in this stretch of England too, where three Open rota courses - Royal Liverpool, Royal Birkdale and Royal Lytham & St Annes - are all within a short hop on the same coast.
And, it goes without saying, of course, but you *can* always experience all of them with Carr Golf Travel.
