So after a long break from golf all our members will be delighted to hear that were back in action on 11th of July in Grange Castle with a 2pm tee time.
I'm sure were all dying to get going again.

The beggining of the 2020 season is almost upon us. The committee have been very busy over the winter and have sorted the card. Looking forward to our first outing hope to see all our current members there and a few new ones too.

First outing of the 2019 season is nearly here. See you all in Portmarnock next Saturday. Don't forget to get there early and bring a full wallet. Looking forward to another good season and to our official Captains drive from Dermot Matthews.

Sorry guys we haven't had an update in a while. The news since our last post is all about one man tearing it up. An absolute disgrace he didn't get a captains pick for the Ryder cup after back to back wins including captains day. Maurice Reed on fire big congratulations to him on his victories.

The curtain has fallen on another great season.
I'm sure those that were there last week will agree we went out on a high with the oven glove challenge proving a really great laugh.

Looking forward to seeing all our current members and hopefully a few new ones at our first outing of 2018 in Arklow GC.

Ok our final outing for 2017 takes place this Saturday in the Heritage GC. Turkey shoot scramble team event.
Who will go home with the turkey and ham and who will go home just plain goosed.

Unfortunately our last competitive outing of the year was stormed off thanks to Brian.

This meant our match play final could not go ahead and our annual prizes were awarded based on current standings. Our winners are as follows.

Final competitive outing of the year is Saturday 21st in Dunmurray Springs GC. We will be having our AGM after this outing along with presentations for the yearly competitions.
The match play final will also take place.

As we are having our AGM the committee have arranged a bus and also a meal after the golf.

Details for this Saturdays Captains day are as follows.

The bus will be leaving the Cuckoos Nest car park at 9.15 and will then make a second pick up at the Clock Tower at 9.30.

Please be at your pick up point in plenty of time. We have 40 golfers confirmed with no room for any extra visitors unfortunately so if you haven't confirmed a visitor with Aiden then I'm afraid there isn't room.

The bus will return to both pick up points leaving Druids Glen at 9pm.

Can we ask that all golfers making there own way be at the course for no later Tha 1045 as due to large numbers we will have a lot to do pre tee off.

Our next outing is Captains Day at Druids Glen. This is a bus outing and the Society will be paying for the bus so no extra cost for bus for this outing.

To recoup some of the cost we will be raffling a few of the prizes which have been sponsored to us this year. This will be a bit of added fun after the golf and tickets will cost €5 for two strips and €10 for 5 strips and will be available from the committee after the golf.

Prizes as follows

1st: 4 ball voucher K Club Palmer Course
2nd: Espresso coffee machine and capsules
3rd: 4 ball voucher Stackstown GC

Can we ask that anyone wishing to play the captains day contact Aiden Cowzer to confirm and if you need a buggy let Aiden know.
We will also need to know in advance if you are bringing any visitors.

As the date and venue for our July outing has been moved we have decided to allow an extension for this round of the match play.

Ties will still be played at this outing where both participants are present, however we will allow any ties which cant take place to be completed on or before the Captains Day in August.
