Our story
The Taste of my Land was born out of our motto 'Full belly, Happy heart'. And there is no doubt that our traditional dishes will transport people straight back to good memories: memories of our lands, memories of our families who, even when they are on the other side of the ocean, are always close to our heart. The Taste of my Land has two main business lines: Food and Event Organisers. Food… Homemade dishes: Empanadas, Buñuelos, Tamales, Bandeja Paisa, Sancocho, Sudado de Sobrebarriga, Ajiaco… Colombian products: Colombian Coffee, Galletas, Harinas (Buñuelo, Pandebonos, Natilla), Gaseosas, Cerveza Club Colombia, Aguardiente (Antioqueño and Blanco del valle), Ron (Medellin and Viejo de Caldas), Bocadillo… Event organisers… Thanks to the success of the last three versions of the Colombian Independence Party and the Colombian Christmas Party, we have gained experience and expertise in organising events. We now have the knowledge to create the best experience for you: for your family reunions, your friends gatherings and your company events. We, Soraya and Cesar, have always been passionate about Colombian food. Since we first arrived in Dublin nearly four years ago, we have been devoted to helping Dubliners discover Colombian products and Colombian cuisine. We have enjoyed offering these products to Colombians, Dubs, Latin Americans, Europeans, and people from all over Ireland, each year since our arrival in Ireland, at the Colombian Independence Party. We have also enjoyed making food on demand several times a year, and brought our passion for food in many Dublin’s households! The Latin American community in Dublin and Ireland has been growing every year since 2013. There are now many people like us who have a strong desire to stay close to our traditions and flavours. We are delighted to bring a piece of Colombia and Latin America to these passionate people through our food.
