✨About Us ✨
Here at Vintage Tea Trips we offer an afternoon tea tour of Dublin, but not just any afternoon tea - afternoon tea the Irish Way. Where you hop on board our 1960s vintage double decker bus and we take you on a jaunt through Dublin city all the while indulging in afternoon tea and listening to the Irish art of storytelling with our semi guided tour.
The idea for VTT was inspired by the quintessential Irish Grannies kitchen - a place where everyone is welcome, there's tea in the pot and a cake on the table. It was Pauline, Karen the owner's granny, who was the original inspiration behind VTT so much so that we named our first bus for her. We wanted to bring this warm, welcoming and nostalgic feeling to Dublin.
We have three vintage buses in our fleet – Pauline, Kitty & Jean. Each has the original features of the half cab and iconic open back platform. They've all been lovingly restored with booths on the upper and lower deck to create a social atmosphere.
Our trip begins on the beautiful Stephens Green and we take in the main sights of the city including Phoenix Park, Guinness Brewery & Georgian Dublin to name but a few. While guests are enjoying their sandwiches, cakes and warm scones our on board hosts regale them with their favorite stories of Dublin as we pass by. Our hosts are engaged in their stories and bring their own unique playful characters to their narrative.
