Since 1988, our Dublin Area Operations Committee have overseen a regular program of long and short haul steam trips out of Dublin to various provincial locations. A dedicated team of volunteers are involved in a range of tasks from crewing our operations to behind the scenes maintenance and restoration at Inchicore and Mullingar. We're always on the lookout for more volunteers. We'd love to hear from you! Just drop us a message and we'll get back to you as soon as we can.

Happy Heavenly Birthday Dad.

This afternoon, Poppy & I took a trip on the Railway Preservation Society of Ireland - Dublin Operations Santa Special from Dublin to Maynooth & return which was truly magical for Poppy and bitter sweet for me. Without a doubt, had my Dad been here, he’d have been out today working the RPSI Santa Specials on NIR like he had been doing since 1987.

Whilst he’s not here today, his final engine that he was to drive (8209) was sitting outside the shed today waiting its next call of duty, just like him. ❤️

Love you Dad X
