Feel the need to post this. It is so hard to start a new business. Anywhere.

What is worst is when social media destroys you, for no reason.

Reality check. Lots of locations for hospitality in our town are closing down. Some for the right reason (because they are overpriced). And some for the wrong reason.

Let us protect the remaining ones. We NEED THEM.

Last thing we need is uncertainty.

So let us be clear. Bombay House have NOTHING to do with Tasty Banda on Thomas Hand street

Tasty Banda is operated by a young couple that needs our support to keep the place open.

The RNLI’s water safety team will host a free one-hour webinar on Monday week, 11 December at 8pm. We would encourage any swimmers intending to take part in any festive dips over the holiday season, to please sign up and avail of the safety advice in the webinar which will cover the following wide range of topics and will also include a Q&A session.

ART ANGEL
A NEW art gallery and holistic shop has opened on Strand Street. Art Angel is at the monument where Wisteria was. It's proprietor Niamh Jones's first shop but she’s been in retail for over four years and is also an artist. Opening a gallery and shop has been an ambition for a long time.
”It's always hard to display your work, to find a space," says Niamh, "so I want to help artists to do this. I’ve been selling my art for years. But it is hard to do by yourself.”
Three walls at the back are filled with artwork. One wall is Niamh’s own, the other two are by other local artists. Prices are reasonable and the art is striking
