Check out what's happening at Farmleigh this Easter weekend 🌿
We're looking forward to the Easter bank holiday at Farmleigh. Join us on Easter Sunday and Monday from 11am to 4pm for our Easter programme including:
K2 Alpacas: The OPW Farmleigh and K2alpacas are delighted to bring you up close and personal with 20 wonderful alpacas.
Newgrange Falconry: will be being doing a birds of prey show throughout the day which will include hawks, falcons and owls.
Victorian Camera Fun: The Ackroyd Family come directly from the Victorian era of 1875 with the latest technological advancements in a contraption they are calling a camera. They believe they have invented a new process of capturing people’s likeness and are calling this new process photography. They are hoping it might take off. Join them as they take your photograph and demonstrate this new technological device.
Old Fashioned Games: Get into the Easter spirit with some old fashioned games like snakes and ladders, egg and spoon race, limbo, croquet and more.
Visible Sound Art Exhibition by Grace Digney of paintings, prints and sculpture based on the shapes of sound. Grace Digney is an artist who makes sound visible using apparatus called the ‘Eidophone’ which is accessible for all and in particular to those interested in speech, singing and the science of sound (Cymatics).
Brass Bands in the pleasure grounds (2hr afternoon performance)
