Followtheforest Take a walk in the woods, Who will you meet? Irish folk inspired handmade figurines, stemming from the heart of Irish Folk Tradition, Myth and Legend.

I am an Irish traditional music student, living in Ireland with a love for natural handcrafts. I was brought up through Waldorf education which constantly promoted the connection between the hands and the heart in everything we do and make. I am deeply inspired by Irish and Celtic mythology along with world cultures and earth based spirituality which provide the main sources of my work. I feel tha

t the 8000 year old craft of needle felting connects me deeply to an authentic and natural way of living along with my own ancestral connection to the landscape around me. All Wool is ethically sourced, part from local Irish hand-dyed wool and part from Germany. I hope to make a shift towards sourcing only local Irish Hand-Dyed wool as ethical sourcing along with the support of small businesses is at the core of my shop ethics. I was first introduced to the Craft of Needle Felting in early childhood through the act of storytelling. The teachers would bring out an abundance of needle felted figurines, characters from mythology, fairy tale and folklore and use them as characters in order to tell a story. This left a strong impression on me and upon recent discovery of the craft again, I was reintroduced to the magic of it's simple form and design. I knew instantly I had to pick it up as a hobby and incorporate it's beautiful charm once again in my life.
