The sun is shining at the Anchor in Dunfanaghy. We have had a lot of summer cancellations so we can now host you and your family from July 20th till the 27th and any week in August from the 3rd. Saturday to Saurday. We sleep 6 and are in town with lovely sunny garden and off street parking.

Good Morning! We have had some cancellations for the summer. People's plans change but we now have the following weeks free if anyone would like to book the Anchor for summer 2024.
July 20th till 27th
August 10th till 17th
August 17th till 24th.

The house is available from the 8th of August as we had a short week booked so could do 8th till 17th if required. Perhaps these dates suit you or someone you know.

We are open for 2022! The refurb of the living area has been completed. Gone are the yellow wooden flooring and pine skirting and doors. We have sanded and varnished, painted and painted some more. Happy with the fresh new look. Well done Gerard who did all the hard work!

Anyone looking to take a trip to Donegal this Easter? We have availability for all of April on Airbnb and booking.com. Seems there was an issue and we were not showing up as being bookable. Sorted now so if you feel like a trip away we are taking bookings for a minimum of 4 nights over the Easter period of 8th till 22nd of April.

I am counting down the days till we can go back to Dunfanaghy. I am sure I am not alone in missing the beautiful beaches and walks! I am busy making mugs and cushions for the Anchor and planning lots of jobs for Gerard to do too. Fingers crossed we get good news on April 5th. Stay safe and see you all soon!

Happy Friday folks! I know with all the lockdowns in place it can be hard to be positive but we all need things to look forward to which is why I wanted to give a little update on the bookings for Summer 2021.

We are now full for July and August with many thanks to the people who booked over the last few weeks. The house is now up on Booking.com and Airbnb so if you want to check availability for April, May, June and September there you can and if you want to book direct, just give me a call on 0863867560. We will be continuing with the Covid protocols that we had in place last year. Anti Viral treatment of all hard surfaces and the swapping out of duvets and pillows at every change over to facilitate the heat treatment of all bedding so you can be confident that the Anchor is safe for you.

With the Irish government putting stricter measures in place in regards to traveling abroad, it looks like staycations will be the way to go in 2021. We look forward to helping you all make memories in beautiful Donegal where, Covid or no Covid, a warm welcome awaits you!

Also, please remember the Anchor comes with everything you could need for your holiday, We make sure you have sharp knives in the kitchen, all the cooking utensils and pans you could need, salt, pepper, seasoning, oil vinegar, tea, shack coffee, sugar, starter pint of milk, tea towels, kitchen roll, tin foil, cling film, sandwich bags and the list goes on and always a little treat on arrival so you can have a cuppa before you unpack your bags. A starter pack of BBQ coals and Logs for the fire should you like to light it.
