Delighted to be working with the team I Discover Lough Derg congratulations on your lovely fresh identity and keep telling us about the legendary Lake!

We sent Oscar out to survey the wildlife on how they think our fresh new logo should look. Show us how diverse it is, they said. And make sure you tell people about the varied landscape, the vast open water and the amazing sunrises all in one small logo, they said. We listened. See for yourself. trails legendary tales

One of the most beautiful hidden gems off South Conamara, some might remember it from the old stamps. St MacDara’s Island covers sixty acres of granite rock, topped with grass and fern. A small stone church on the eastern shore of the island stands on the site of a hermitage or monastery founded by or associated with St MacDara. Built of very large stones, the rectangular church has a high-pitched roof; its most striking feature . In this unreal image by Felix Sproll Photography, he has managed to capture it in pristine darkness allowing the Milky Way to shine over the striking church.

Milkyway over St. Mac Dara's, a small island off the coast of Connemara. St. Mac Dara the patron saint of seafarers in the 6th Century built a small wooden church here that was later upgraded to this stone one in the 10th Century. It's a magical place with old eroded Celtic crosses scattered about (one can be just made out in the foreground), especially at night under the stars.

This is the August picture of my 2023 calendar when the milkyway core is visible after sunset and nearly vertical like in the picture. I still have calenders available, if anyone wants one send me a message. They make perfect Christmas presents for anyone so will save you rushing around in the next week 😜

www.outdoorrecreationni.com/news/galway-mayo

Outdoor Recreation NI is working on behalf of Galway City Council, Galway County Council and Mayo County Council to identify opportunities for the development of Blueways around Galway City, Lough Corrib and Lough Mask.

Tá fíor áthas ar Áineas Lasmuigh Thuaisceart Éireann a bheith ag obair ar son Comhairle Cathrach na Gaillimhe, Comhairle Chontae na Gaillimhe agus Comhairle Contae Mhaigh Eo chun deiseanna a aithint chun Gormbhealaí a fhorbairt timpeall Chathair na Gaillimhe, Loch Coirib agus Loch Measca.
Chun cabhrú linn tuiscint níos fearr a fháil ar an gcaoi a núsáidtear na huiscebhealaí agus aon saincheisteanna nó deiseanna atá ann, ba mhaith linn cloisteáil uait!
Téigh le do thoil chuig www.outdoorrecreationni.com/news/galway-mayo chun páirt a ghlacadh sa suirbhé thábhachtach seo agus do thuairim a chur in iúl. Nuair a bheidh sé críochnaithe, roinn an nasc le do thoil chun ligean do dhaoine eile a bheith rannpháirteach.
Dúnfar an suirbhé seo ag meán oíche Dé Máirt 3ú Eanáir 2023.

To help the team better understand how the waterways are being used and any issues or opportunities that exist, we would appreciate your support by taking part and sharing this survey.

Go raibh maith agaibh go leir, thankyou to so many people without which we could not share our fantastic weekend! We were truly blessed with the weather, the positive vibes from each group and the landscape put on an amazing display! All profits from the weekend and the generous donations this year will go to helping us build a community park, this facility is so needed as currently no outdoor recreational space exists in the village for young and old to keep active. See more Leenane Community Park . Thankyou to Galway County Council for their support to our festival each year and to the local landowners, who facilitate us so kindly with access to these fantastic uplands. We are so lucky to have our experienced and professional guides with beaming knowledge and interest that help make the experience safe and enjoyable! To the people and businesses who help provide the tea and scones, smiles and fun, we are so indebted to you for helping us make this a special weekend for our walkers Lough Inagh Lodge, Delphi Resort and The Purple Door Café . To the bus drivers, the guys at registration, ticketing and the people who helped tidy up Timfy Designs Leenane Kayak Club this demonstrated a real community effort, it takes a village to raise a child but also to have a mountain walking festival! Finally to those who traveled here to walk and take part in this festival that we are so proud of, thank you for your support and bringing your willingness to share the fun and experience along the trails. We hope to be able to see you all in May 2023.
