What a year it's been! Thank you to everyone who came gallivanting with me! There's only ONE weekend left until I go into hibernation!!

You still have time! I'll be running walks this Friday, Saturday and Sunday all off which, will of course, have a special Samhain twist!

Down in New Ross and couldn't resist stopping this gastro pub sits on the outskirts of town and is absolutely and utterly worth the detour! The food is incredible and so many licoal producers scattered across the menu! Plus right across the road is the farm shop! So come fill your belly and bring home a load of veggies, eggs and seasonal pumpkins!!!

Last of the summer tours!

From our first moment meeting in the backyard of the old shop on John Street, Sir Francis Furgandy, aka Frankie, has been a member of our family.

This furry little man was disagreeable, greedy, occasionally aggressive, and as possessive as the worst boyfriend you can imagine. He always looked filthy dirty, not helped by losing his tail a few years back. Under his scruffy coat, he bore the scars of many a fight.

His "dirty protests" and sheer laziness will live on in my stained carpets, curtain ends, and rugs.

He has been unwell the last few weeks, and we made the heartbreaking choice to let him go today. Poor little guy passed away very quickly. He was happy to be free, and we were grateful to love him till the very end.

He's buried in the garden overlooking the chucks (whom he'd attack if I gave them too much attention)

I'll miss that little furry nightmare terribly 💔

I was so looking forward to this! To my utter shame it has taken me this long to get out to visit me dear friend and colleague from new honestly shop!!!

And ah janey, it's brilliant! All of his amazing jams and chutneys, rainbow eggs, fresh herbs, fruit and veg, even starter plants! All packed into the cutest cabin! I got some of his elderflower syrup and some peach and honey jam!

It's just outside ballycanew with a gorgeous view too! Seriously, take the detour, you won't be disappointed!!

Lúnasadh weekend has passed and what a weekend it was! Thank you so much to everyone who came to the community walk in courtown, and the glendalough walk on Monday!

I even managed to squeeze in a teeny bonfire to say thanks to Lugh for keeping so many of my walks dry this summer! 😂

Blessings to you all, I hope your personal harvest was bountiful! 3 months to Samhain so time to start prepping for winter!

A special walk for residents of the courtown area!!!
Myself and the courtown community council have joined forces to offer this local heritage walk. And best of all, its fully funded by a local amenity grant, making it totally free!
Only for residents living in the area, we'll be uncovering the hidden stories behind the high cross, balinatray bridge, the chestnut walk and much more!
