Dr. Tzipi Morris, M.D. is a Board Certified Family Physician. Dr. Tzipi oversees the Efrat Women’s Health Center Weight Loss and Wellness Program and gives health and wellness educational workshops to benefit the women of the Gush Etzion area. In addition, she offers yearly preventative wellness physicals and health and wellness coaching, teaching. Dr. Morris has years of experience caring for patients of all ages, although women's preventative health and wellness has always been her passion. Aliza Shapiro, M.S.W., L.I.S.W.-S. is a licensed clinical social work supervisor in the U.S. and a registered social worker in Israel. Through the Efrat Women’s Health Center she provides monthly individual consultations to women in our Weight Loss and Wellness Program and co-facilitates our weekly support group. In addition to her work at the Efrat Women’s Health Center, Aliza is a senior social worker at Tishkofet and provides private therapy to individuals, couples, and families. has a Masters in nutrition and has worked both in the U.S. and in Israel. Judy has special training in Functional/Nutritional Medicine and a holistic approach to wellness through diet and nutrients. Judy is an invaluable team member of our Weight Loss and Wellness Program and provides Group Workshops on various nutritional-related topics. In addition, she offers One-on-One Consultations to advise on disease risk reduction, food allergies and sensitivities, digestive issues, excess weight, balancing special diets, metabolic issues, and vegetarianism. Ruth Tick, M.S.W was born in Ontario Canada. She made Aliya with her family in 1978 and now
lives in Jerusalem with her husband and four sons. Ruth has a Masters Degree in Social Work from Hebrew University and has specialized in addictions and codependency for the last 15 years. Over the years she has received certification for treatment of addictions including clinical work, group work and the 12 steps. Ruth is now the coordinator of the social department for “Mavoi Satum”, a non-profit organization that aids Agunot. In addition, Ruth, together with a certified Dietician, Laurie Duitch, run workshops to help reduce the cycle of disordered eating. Olamit Wolf is a Qualified Chinese Medicine practitioner, and Herbalist practitioner and healer in Israel. Apart from her own practice she also gives regular lectures to doctors and students who have taken an interest in mind body health . Known for her highly motivational approach, she has been very successful with high profile performers and brides to be that need to lose weight quickly; postpartum hormonal mothers; exhausted students and menopausal women addressing weight gain within a total wellness picture. With a background in pharmacology and herbal medicine together with acupuncture, she provides an individual approach to weight loss that addresses an analysis of hormones, thyroid, nutrition and psychological profiling. Stephen (Simcha) Z. Friedman treats adults, adolescents and their families for issues of alcoholism, chemical dependency, s*x addiction, gambling addiction and co-dependency. He received his primary training at the Hazelden Foundation, one of the world’s most famous and important rehabilitation facilities. He earned a Master’s Degree in Addiction Counseling at the Hazelden Graduate School of Addiction Studies, and worked at Hazelden New York as a Chemical Dependency Professional Level II. Steve is also a Licensed Clinical Addictions Counselor in four states (NJ, IN, MN, WI). He is a Certified Co-occuring Disorder Specialist and is an Internationally Certified Advanced Alcohol & Drug Counselor (ICAADC). He is also a Certified S*x Addiction Therapist (CSAT). Steve currently works in private practice. In addition to his therapeutic work, Steve has spent 30 years as an accomplished advertising executive and filmmaker, producing and directing TV commercials, industrial films and documentaries. His latest documentary, “Leap Of Faith”, explores the phenomenon of religious conversion and has screened at some of the most prestigious film festivals around the world (www.leapoffaiththefilm.com). Sanford Landa, DSCW,MPA,CASAC,CPP, earned an MSW from Columbia University and holds a Masters Degree in Public Health Administration from New York University. He is a Substance Abuse Speicialist as well as a Prevention Specialist. Previous to making Aliya, he had over 30 years experience in individual, marital and family therapy. Since making Aliya, he is the Coordinator of the Addictions Counseling Training Program at the Family Institute of Neve Yerushalayim, a therapist at the Emunah Rachel Clinics in Bet Shemesh and Modiin, in private practice working with individuals, couples and families, and provides supervision to therapists
Marc H. Garson MSW, LCSW, MSM: A WSSW Alumni & practicing social worker / psychotherapist since 1985. He has a myriad of Addiction & Recovery experience, including: having been the primary treatment coordinator and director of the Dual-diagnosis Treatment programs @: The LaHacienda Treatment Center, The Yatzkan/FEGS Treatment Center, & The High Focus Intensive Outpatient Adult & Adolescent treatment programs as well. Moreover, Mr. Garson has a broad spectrum of professional experience and insights as a “spiritually-oriented” Cognitive-Behavioral Therapist. Marc is licensed in New Jersey, Texas, New York & Israel.
