NCPC BOSS, BISHOP ADEGBITE, HONOURED WITH PRESIDENTIAL LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD, HONORARY PROFESSOR IN HUMANITARIANISM

The Executive Secretary, Nigerian Christian Pilgrim Commission, Bishop Stephen Adegbite, has been honoured with a Presidential Lifetime Achievement Award and honorary Professor in Humanitarianism by the Heart Bible International University and Seminary, USA.

In a letter dated 10th July, 2024, and signed by the Chancellor of the University, as well as the Vice Chancellor (Africa), Prof. Peter Abraham, reads: "On behalf of Heart Bible International University and Seminary, an institution dedicated to enriching great minds, I am delighted to extend my heartfelt congratulations on your well-deserved nomination. Your dedication, hard work, and outstanding contributions have not gone unnoticed. It is an honour to see your name put forward for this nomination for honorary Professor in Humanitarianism".

The institution emphasized that it takes pride in being authorized to acknowledge outstanding leaders for their contributions to community service and humanitarian efforts. "Considering all your contributions and humanitarian services to the community and Africa at large, your belief in the transformative power of education and your mission in empowering the next generation with your numerous scholarships, the University would be pleased to honour you with the award of Presidential Lifetime Achievement Award and honorary Professor in Humanitarianism".

The letter further affirmed that Bishop Adegbite is being honoured for his excellent work over the years and his commitment to development. The Black Excellent Leadership Award is an annual event held to honour those who exhibit outstanding character and dedication to their communities.

The three-day auspicious Black Excellence Leadership Award will take place from Friday, 2nd August, to Sunday, 4th August, 2024, at Marriott hotel Downtown Hartford, Connecticut, USA.

NCPC Boss, Bishop Adegbite Felicitates with President and Nigerians on Democracy Day

Abuja, Nigeria - June 12, 2024

The Executive Secretary of the Nigerian Christian Pilgrim Commission (NCPC), Bishop Stephen Adegbite, has congratulated President Bola Tinubu and Nigerians on the occasion of Democracy Day. Bishop Adegbite noted that Nigerians have reason to celebrate the country's unfettered democracy, which began in 1999. He expressed optimism that despite current economic challenges, there is hope for a better future.

The NCPC boss praised democracy as the best form of government, guaranteeing citizens' fundamental human rights. He urged President Tinubu to continue working towards transforming Nigeria and commended his administration's initiatives aimed at addressing economic challenges. Bishop Adegbite described President Tinubu as a true democrat who has fought for democracy throughout his life.

He encouraged Nigerians to have faith in their leaders and uphold them in prayer, urging the church to continue praying for the President's success and good health. Bishop Adegbite thanked Nigerians for being part of history as the country celebrates Democracy Day, of "Renewed Hope and Satisfaction."

WE HAVE CHANGED THE ORIENTATION OF PILGRIMAGE IN NIGERIA, NCPC BOSS TELLS PILGRIMAGE LEADERS IN ISRAEL

The Executive Secretary Nigerian Christian Pilgrim Commission, Stephen Adegbite has said that the orientation of Christian Pilgrimage in Nigeria has changed under the current leadership in NCPC alongside with the critical stakeholders.
He made this disclosure at the Nigerian House in TEL- AVIV, Israel on 4th June 2024 during a meeting at the Embassy of Nigeria in Israel with state Pilgrimage leaders and private Christian tour operators.
" We have changed the orientation of Pilgrimage in Nigeria".
He averred that God has prepared NCPC for rebranding and thus a new Corporate Slogan, " Service and Satisfaction has become the new mantra and of the Commission.
He reiterated that with the caliber of the Chairman of the board of the Commission and the members of board, it is a new dawn for Christian Pilgrimage in Nigeria.
BIshop Adegbite said the Commission had keyed into the Renewed Hope Agenda of Mr President and would ensure that it is satisfaction all the way.
He commended the Nigerian Ambassador to Israel, Mrs Agatha Afoekelu for exceptional leadership.
He emphasized the fact that leaders are called to served and not to be served.
He affirmed that he would ensure that they identify with the Embassy of Nigeria of any country they go to on Pilgrimage.
He reaffirmed that it is a new beginning, and all hands must be on deck to make Christian Pilgrimage thrive in Nigeria.
He thanked Mr President for considering him and the Chairman of NCPC worthy of their appointments.
Earlier, the Nigerian Ambassador to Israel, Mrs Agatha Afoekelu further reiterated that it is a new dawn and a new beginning in NCPC and the Christian pilgrimage sub - sector.
He commended the NCPC boss for being a Star superlative Executive Secretary who matches words with action.
She stressed the need to replicate the Israeli Agricultural technology in Nigeria.
" We need to bring something beneficial home"
She explained that in collaboration with the Federal and state Governments start ups would be encouraged and developed so that the young people could begin to do some reasonable things for themselves after acquiring sustainable skills and the Government would provide the needed support to enable them stabilize.
She explained that the reason why the Embassy exist is to make our nation work.
" We are here for you; we are doing well with our people here, they are admiring our leadership".
Speaking, the Chairman of NCPC, Rt.Rev ( Prof) Msg Cletus Gotan appreciated members of the board for their spirit of them work.
He described the Nigerian House as a miniature Nigeria in the Embassy.
The Chairman was optimistic that peace would reign in Nigeria and Israel.
He emphasized the need for every stakeholder to work as one so that together they could bail out Christian Pilgrimage by lifting it to a level where it would be.
The Pre- Visit and Retreat for the NCPC board, management, State Pilgrimage Leaders and Private Christian Pilgrimage Operators began on 31st May and would come to a successful denouement on 6th June , 2024.

The Executive Secretary Nigeria Christian Pilgrim Commission, Bishop Stephen Adegbite has said that the Commission under his leadership would not compromise standard and nobody would be allowed to short change Nigerians anymore as far as Christian Pilgrimage is concerned.
The NCPC boss made this disclosure on Wednesday, 6th February, 2024 during a sensitization visit to the Executive Governor of Nasarawa state, Engr Abdullahi Sule at Government House, Lafia.

He disclosed that the Commission would open bid for service providers for the 2024 Pilgrimage exercise on the 11th of February, 2024, stating that due process must be religiously followed for transparency and proper selection of bidders in line with the procurement Act of 2007.
He appealed to the No 1 Citizen of Nasarawa state for his continuous support for Christian Pilgrimage.
The NCPC boss also canvassed for support for the -not -too bouyant christians in the north who may not be able to afford to go on pilgrimage .In the words of the NCPC boss, ” we must also look at a way of supporting christians in the north so that they can be part of our pilgrimage experience”.
He hinted that the Commission plans to incorporate agriculture and skill acquisition in its pilgrimage content so that pilgrims would leverage on the Israeli expertise in these critical areas to add value to our pilgrimage programme.

The NCPC helmsman also congratulated Governor Sule and his deputy for their victory at the polls and the Supreme Court judgement which validated their election.
He averred that the mandate of the Commission is beyond pilgrimage, stating that NCPC provides a platform to unite and foster unity amongst Christians and other faiths.
He commended the Governor for his developmental strides in the state.
Speaking, the Executive Governor of Nasarawa state, Engr Abdullahi Sule who was represented by his deputy, Dr Emmanuel Akabe congratulated Bishop Adegbite on his well deserved appointment by President Bola TInubu; he described him
as a” round peg in a round hole.”
He explained that he has been following the antecedents of the NCPC boss over the years especially his selfless service in the Christendom.

He thanked Mr President for recognizing the contributions of the Executive Secretary of NCPC in national development ,thus finding him worthy of the appointment.He said he was excited to receive the NCPC boss and his team. He prayed that his tenure would be a much better tenure in the history of the Commission, stating that he was optimistic that he would take the Commission to greater heights.
He promised to give him all the support and cooperation he needs to pilot the affairs of the Commission. His words,” we are going to give you our maximum support”

He further affirmed that the current economic challenges facing the country would not last for too long. According to him,” whatever we are going through now is only transient , sometimes God allows it to see our resilience “, he said.
He called on Nigerians to continue to pray for our leaders in authority.
