A local bazaar busy with women selling all kinds of wares thrown up by the sea, a "beach resort" here, a bhel puri house there, colleges for women, engineering institutions, a railway crossing here and Adivasi women there, Bordi is a blend of the halcyon days and the modern....but not too modern that you shun it. Bordi Beach is a very safe beach - the water does not rise above the waist for half a kilometre. The entire stretch of the beach from Dhanu to Bordi is beautiful. It has a backdrop of orchards of different fruits, the main ones being chikoo. Even though the beach is connected with outside town, it is unspoiled and refreshing. The beach has no artificial make up. The sands on this beach are not white but blackish and a bit sticky - the natural form of sand.
