JOB PURPOSE
The CMO is tasked with the strategy and direction of the company in areas such as product development, customer service, and marketing.
Determine the demand for products and services offered by Medianet and its competitors and identify potential customers. Develop pricing strategies with the goal of maximizing the company’s profits or share of the market while ensuring the customers are satisfied. Oversee product development or monitor trends that indicate the need for new products and services.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITES
• Develop pricing strategies, balancing company objectives and customer satisfaction.
• Oversee, identify, develop and evaluate marketing and sales strategy, based on knowledge of establishment objectives, market characteristics, and cost and markup factors.
• Ensure monthly and annual sales targets are established and met.
• Ensure strategies concerning marketing communications, public relations and corporate social responsibility are developed and implemented.
• Evaluate the financial aspects of marketing budgets, expenditures, research and development appropriations, and return-on-investment.
• Formulate, direct and coordinate marketing activities and policies to promote products and services, working with advertising and promotion managers.
• Direct the hiring, training, and performance evaluations of marketing staff.
• Consult with product development personnel on product specifications.
• Compile lists describing product or service offerings.
• Select products and accessories to be displayed at trade or special production shows.
• Confer with legal staff to resolve problems, such as copyright infringement and royalty.
• Coordinate and participate in promotional activities and trade shows, working with developers, advertisers, and production managers, to market products and services.
• Advise business and other groups on local, national, and international factors affecting the buying and selling of products and services.
• Initiate market research studies and analyze their findings.
• Conduct economic and commercial surveys to identify potential markets for products and services.

▪ Leads key commercial strategies during formulation and implementation
▪ Actively involves in overall strategy planning and formulation of the organization
Policies and Processes
▪ Ensure there are well defined policies and processes to manage all the Finance functions
▪ Ensures policy manuals are available for use in an electronically retrievable format
▪ Ensure all required policies and procedures are approved and adhered to
Functional Responsibility
▪ Ensure that the entire Marketing function is working within the set KPIs.
Skill and Talent Management
▪ Ensure recruitment of talented and skilled staff.
▪ Evaluate staff performance on skill, attitude and efficiency.
▪ Ensure a career path is worked out with the subordinates.
▪ Ensure skill gaps are identified and appropriate actions are taken to fill such gaps.
Succession Planning
▪ Ensure required successors are identified and groomed.
