गुरुवारी दिनांक २२ ऑगस्ट रोजी राष्ट्रवादी काँग्रेसचे प्रदेश प्रवक्ते मा. श्री प्रकाश लवांडे तसेच मा. आमदार श्री जयदेव गायकवाड यांनी चिपळूण येथील सामाजिक संस्था संघटनांना भेट दिली. ह्या वेळी 'शाश्वत कोकण परिषद ' मार्फत कोकणच्या शाश्वत विकासासाठी तयार केलेला आग्रहनामा प्रस्तुत केला गेला व त्यातील महत्त्वाचे मुद्दे अधोरेखित करण्यात आले व चर्चा झाली.
कोकणातील पाचही जिल्ह्यांमध्ये आयोजित जाहीर मेळाव्यानंतर, नागरिक , सामाजिक व पर्यावरणीय कार्यकर्ते, संस्था - संघटना यांच्यामधील विचार विनमयानंतर हा आग्रहानाम्याचा प्राथमिक स्वरूपातील मसुदा तयार करण्यात आला आहे.
श्री प्रकाश लवांडे व श्री जयदेव गायकवाड यांचा चिपळूण मधील दौरा हा संपूर्ण महाराष्ट्र दौऱ्याचा भाग होता. सामाजिक संस्थांचे समाजातील महत्त्वपूर्ण योगदान लक्षात घेत, समाजातील आव्हाने समजून घेऊन संस्था संघटनांच्या कार्याला राजकीय स्तरावर अधिक बळ देण्याची गरज भासते आहे असे या वेळी श्री प्रकाश लवांडे व श्री जयदेव गायकवाड यांनी नमूद केले. समाजातील आव्हाने लक्षात घेण्याकरिता स्वतः मा. श्री शरदजी पवार यांनी हा दौरा गठण केला व याचा अहवाल थेट मा. श्री. शरदजी पवार यांना सादर केला जाईल, असे सांगितले.
या बैठकीदरम्यान आग्रहनाम्यातील प्रामुख्याने मांडलेले मुद्धे:
१. फलोद्यान, शेती , मासेमारी व शाश्वत - संवेदनशील पर्यटन आधारित उद्योग विकसित करणे व त्याला आर्थिक पाठबळ मिळणे.
२. रेड कॅटेगरी प्रकल्पांना विरोध (उदा. रिफायनरी, केमिकल इंडस्ट्री, मायनिंग इत्या.)
३. मुंबई गोवा महामार्ग त्वरित पूर्ण करणे, सागरी महामार्ग आहे त्याच रुंदीचा ठेऊन डागडुजी करणे, प्रस्तावित एम एस आर डी सी चा ग्रीन फील्ड एक्सप्रेस वे पूर्णपणे रद्ध करणे.
४. LED व purseseen मासेमारी वरती अधिक निर्बंध व अस्तित्वात असलेल्या नियम निर्बंधांचे काटेकोर पालन.
५. एम एस आर डी सी प्रस्तावित १३ शहरं (नव नगर) रद्द करणे व कोकणचा नियोजन व विकास आराखडा त्रिस्तरीय स्थानिक स्वराज्य संस्थामार्फत केला जावा व सिडको सारख्या प्राधिकरणाला दिला जाऊ नये.
असे एकूण ४९ मुद्दे अग्रहनाम्यामध्ये मांडले गेले आहेत.
