Dhotrey Forest Village is a small settlement (8,500ft ),within the buffer zone of Singalila National Park, belonging to Eastern Himalaya.It is the gateway of the Singalila Trek circuit popularly known as the ‘Sandakphu Phalut Trek’.About 45kms from Darjeeling, Dhotrey offers one of the best views of the Sleeping Buddha Range.
This page is a joint initiative of Prameya Foundation and the villagers of Dhotrey in their effort to make it a ‘Sustainable Tourism Destination-a model eco village’;by connecting it with the tourism market.Each time a tourist visits Dhotrey, it contributes towards the alternate livelihood of the people of Dhotrey and the conservation of the areas flora and fauna.
