With a heavy heart, we say our farewells to the remarkable Mr. PRS Oberoi, a true visionary and luminary in the realm of Indian hospitality.

Recalling a pivotal moment when destiny guided me back to India from England, I reminisce about a transformative encounter with Mr. Oberoi at his Kapashera office. Clad in a light linen shirt and khaki pants, holding a cigar, he was seated in a wing chair. Despite my mixed emotions and nervousness, expecting a rigorous interview, I was graciously offered a seat, and to my surprise, the anticipated formal interview swiftly evolved into a delightful exchange touching on culture and diversity.

I had the privilege of engaging with Mr. Oberoi on several occasions during my tenure at The Oberoi, New Delhi. I learned a great deal from the luxurious Oberoi hotels and it’s leadership. His indelible mark on luxury hotels in India is a standard of unparalleled service, quality, eye for detail and guest satisfaction that continue to inspire Secrets of India, fuelling a passion for excellence.

In continuation to the series of G20 events organised by Secrets of India, we are glad to share the vibrant moments from yet another successful gathering of delegates from 28 countries in Guwahati, Assam.

Guwahati is renowned for its natural beauty and spiritual landmarks and the iconic Heritage Centre at the bank of might Brahmaputra River was the apt location for the inaugural dinner to set in motion the 3-day conference.

Following the productive conference sessions, over 230 delegates had the opportunity to enjoy an adventurous jungle safari at the Pobitora Wildlife Sanctuary famous for one horned rhino and delved into art and culture at the museums. Additionally, our delegates had the privilege of undertaking a spiritual voyage with a visit to the Kamakhya temple, an ancient and revered hub of Ta***ic practices (that harmonizes body, mind, and spirit in the pursuit of spiritual enlightenment).
