FOB Destination - This shipping term is commonly used, where the seller retains ownership of goods while they are in transit and is responsible for any loss or damage to the goods until they are delivered to the buyer. FOB Destination can be expressed as FOB Mumbai or FOB Cochin, for example. This term may be used if the buyer and seller want to negotiate the shipping separately from the purchase of goods or if the buyer wants to use a specific carrier for shipping.

FOB Origin - If the contract or purchase order does not specify FOB terms, then the term defaults to FOB Origin according to the Uniform Commercial Code (UCC). In this case, the buyer is responsible for freight and any damages to the goods that occur during transit.
