Trekking in Kedarkantha is banned!! Not yet, but if we are not mindful enough it might happen very soon. With the Stok Kangri trek banned this year and the Uttarakhand government imposing bans on some of the high-altitude treks and Bugyals. It's wonderful to see that interest in trekking in India is picking up pace and people are including trekking and other adventure activities in their plans. But, it also means increasing footfalls in highly sensitive ecosystem of the mountains. The problem is not the footfalls, it's about following trends and others like mob mentality. There are so many beautiful trails, pretty grasslands, and so much more to see.
