On one of our last #safari before #kanhanationalpark closed for the season we had the great fortune of being alerted by the #calls of this #malabarpiedhornbill - a fairly rare sighting- upon going in for a closer look we discovered an eagle not too far away from this #bird . It is likely to have nested somewhere close by and was warning off the eagle with its loud calls.
