We have seen that The Indian Passport have been used as an advertising platform by many travel agents , defacing the cover of the passport by pasting agency/ company stickers.
As issued and circulated by the Government of India , it is to inform that masks on national emblem and tampering of security features will be treated as an offence and in contravention of Government of India's rules and regulations.

It is a request to all travel agents / companies to follow the rules and regulations and also to passport holders to ensure that their passports are not defaced by the travel agents or any other person or establishment at any time.
