Opening on 20.02.2022, today morning at 8.30 with separate entry pass at all locations viz, at Kakkayam dam, Kariyathumpara meadows and at Thonikkadavu Park.

All are welcome 🙏.

PLEASE NOTE: You will be observed by CCTVC, securities and newly appointed officials at entry gate and throughout the meadows, beware of littering, spitting or committing any other unfair activities.

മണ്ഡലത്തിലെ പ്രധാന വിനോദ സഞ്ചാര കേന്ദ്രങ്ങളിലൊന്നാണ് തോണിക്കടവ് കിരയാത്തും പാറ .കക്കയത്തെ നീരൊഴുക്കുള്ള പുഴയോരവും മനോഹരമായ പുൽത്തകിടിയും ,മലനിരകളും ഇവിടുത്ത മനോഹരമായ കാഴ്ചകളാണ്.

പുഴയിൽ ഉണ്ടാവുന്ന നിരന്തരമായ അപകടം കാരണം കുറച്ചുമാസങ്ങളായി കരിയാത്തുംപാറ അടച്ചിട്ടതായിരുന്നു.
ഇപ്പോൾ ആവശ്യമായ സുരക്ഷ ക്രമീകരണങ്ങൾ ഒരുക്കിയാണ്ട് വിനോദ സഞ്ചാരികൾക്ക് തുറന്നു കൊടുക്കുന്നത്.

Grama Panchayath which includes Kakkayam Valley is fully locked due to spread of corona virus. All roads leading to Kakkayam are fully closed. Wait for a new post that announces the well functioning of this tourist place.

Please note as on today 01.09.2020.
Tourists are not allowed to enter at Kakkayam damsite, 30 th mile river shore and at Kariyathumpara river and meadows. Police locked all those places by tieing ropes. Only people of this locality are allowed to enter these places. Hope authorities will unlock all those places soon.

Fee for Kakkayam visit:
1. Dam site 40 Forest + 20 KSEB = 60 Rs per head. Parking extra.
2. Boat for 6 persons 15 minutes 900 Rs.
3. Power Station visit Rs 100 per head. For Power Station visit there is no counter there to accept fee. You should travel 15 km apart KSEB section at Koorachundu for this.
4. Food extra.
