Lachung Valley is located at an altitude range of 9000ft – 12500ft in between the mighty snow-capped Himalayan peaks and beautiful silver fir and rhododendron forest. Majority of the visitors in the valley are attracted to the natural abode of Yumthang who stays in the exquisitely crafted cottages.
The drive to Lachung Valley is picturesquely beautiful and is at a distance of 120 km from Gangtok, the capital city of Sikkim. The long drive covers the mighty beautiful Teesta river and several waterfalls on the way. There are several facilities that are provided by the Sikkim Government and the Tourism department.
