Surrounded by mountains, as a kid I loved exploring them. Every Sunday morning, I would pack myself a Ladakhi bread (yeast bread) and an egg and kick off my trek into the mountains. The sheer sense of accomplishment on reaching the top and the stunning view had a trans effect on me. Interestingly, I still get the same, amazing - on top of the world feeling. I always knew that this is where I belon
ged and what I wanted to do - explore nature, go on adventures but had no clue about the how part of it. Later during my college time, I thought of picking up a part-time job and what better than the chance to explore the deepest of mountains in Ladakh, right? I started going on treks with tourists as a helper and gradually got promoted to be a guide (my boss told me I made clients ease – up and they enjoyed my company. You see I always had interesting, fun facts ready for my clients ;)). It was the best time in my life - exploring mountains and meeting people from literally every part of the world! Each trek I went to, I learned something new, met someone new, heard new stories. Well, this is when I decided to give my everything to do what I love for the rest of my life! Finally, my humble beginnings started when I decided to take a loan and purchase my first car - my livelihood. I would get up in the middle of the night and wait outside the airport to pick up guests and go on tours for days. The best part was none it felt like work as every day was both an adventure and a vacation! In 2013, I registered my own company - Ladakh Trip Maker (my happiest moment ever :)). I spent most of this year in research and getting to know the process and people. By 2014, I was ready to fly out of my nest, finally! After tons of rejections, I got my first four clients, and I was on cloud nine. Since then I worked (enjoyed every bit of it) day and night and by god's grace, never looked back. Today, Ladakh Trip Maker (LTM) is a successful travel agency with a team of 30 extremely talented, fun-loving, nature-curious explorers. We are all so smitten by what we do that it is almost sacred for us. It's our motto to accord an experience of a lifetime to every traveller/explorer whose path gets crossed with us. It's not just the adventure but the professionalism with the right amount of fun and personal touch that makes us the number one choice as a travel partner for our clients.
