We’re happy to be featured in the cover story of - Weekend Chennai that talks about the joys of a slow holiday through immersive experiences.
The Farm & Forest Forage has been featured alongside a handful of other wholesome experiences hosted across the country.
Kudos to our Team - Shardul, Anuradha, Mr Jadhav, Sam & Johann for consistently hosting the experience with love.
Thank you Nidhi for giving us the opportunity to share space on this page.

Exactly 2 years since today, we hosted the wonderful Milena on a hike near Mumbai.
When we happened to chance upon these pictures today, they reminded us of how we braved through covid-19.
We work in a niche space - Adventure Tourism. And within that space itself we are a niche.
We’ve consistently only hosted at extremely rare locations that are not crowded & do not cater to large groups. Our priority has always been the quality & safety of our guests experience. To exist in this space with those set of values is really difficult.
During this covid period is when we began to pivot by hosting more private experiences. We think that during this period, even our guests began to value private/smaller group experiences a lot more.
More the merrier isn’t always true. Sometimes just a few trumps it all.

We’re just 2 weeks away from our 1st Winter batch of The Farm & Forest Forage.
We’re looking forward to another day of hosting people on our farm, sharing new experiences, flavours, wild plants, walking through the forest and frolicking in our backyard stream.
Here’s what our last batch looked like.
If you’d like to join us this 29th Oct, visit the link in bio. With the weather transitioning, we believe a day at the farm is a great way to spend time outdoors this October.

Once again, we had the wonderful company of the Consulate General of Sweden & her husband join us on a private hike.
It’s always been a pleasure interacting & spending time with the family. So much conversation, so much to share, and so much to learn from both of them.
We’re grateful for our time together. Thank you for being such amazing guests.

We've waited for things to get stable, to put out the word to grow the team. We feel now is the time!
No matter how the odds have not really been in our favor over the years with us running our adventure startup while being led by our strong fundamentals & values, we continue to not give up, and always see the light at the end of the tunnel.
We love what we do and do what we love; when that's the case, it's tough to stop.
So here's to us consistently looking to grow. If you know peeps that fit the bill, do share this with them. If you think you could help us out in any way, do feel free to slide into our DM's.
Thanks for supporting us all this while. We look forward to seeing all of you soon, especially this monsoon.

Just a collection of some of our favourite people & moments captured on our last Farm & Forest Forage.
It is true that there is so much that the camera is incapable of capturing. Moments that are so happily etched in our memory never make it to the screen. There is so much more to the day than these mere pictures.
We think it is fair to say that everyone including the team at the end of the day felt an elevated state of calm, satisfaction and wholesomeness. We are all just left content.
Only when we have the right set of people joining in does our experience feel complete. This is the cherry on the cake for us and what makes hosting even so much gratifying. So, a big thank you to all the wonderful people that joined us. It is and always will be a pleasure hosting & meeting all of you again.

We had the great pleasure of hosting the family of the Consulate General of Sweden on a pleasant early morning.
We led the family on one of our favourite hikes called The Pinnacle Fort Hike just on the outskirts of Mumbai - a place we’ve been visiting since the past decade. The family of 4 impressively reached the summit in absolutely no time. They were probably few of the fastest people we’ve ever hosted out here on this particular mountain.
After conquering the adrenaline pumping rock carved steps with steep drops at the top and arriving at the summit, we came back down midway at the little hamlet to eat some of our favorite lip smacking food prepared by the tribals at the plateau.
We are grateful for having the wonderful family join us. They were a sporty bunch and hosting all of them at our place we call home gives us nothing but pure joy and pleasure.

Can we truly leave the rat race?
Or will we only always only let pictures remind us of our true moments of being alive and truly happy.
Are we lost in the metropolis & 9-9?
Is it true we may forgotten to leave a little and wander a lot more.
There's a whole beautiful world out there and we ought to go and see it.
Looking at these pictures from our last RUGGED with playing in the background is giving us our little reminder to.
To live a little more. To feel. To be alive. To love. To travel. To explore.

With absolute pleasure, we are happy to showcase the most exciting experience we've created at Jack & Hill Adventures, which we are extremely proud of.
With the monsoon peaking, RUGGED is exactly how we like to spend the peak season of the monsoon.
In thick forest, traversing ranges of hills, at the mercy of clouds & the mountain, while being left in awe and wonder of the magical sights that nature throws at us.
On Rugged, we teach people confidence and peace in the forest, the raw, real, and RUGGED way.

Being born and bought up in , I have always been intrigued by the mountain ranges. There is soo much left to explore but very few have the expertise to venture out into the unknown.
When Jack & Hill planned for , this was exactly what I was looking for and when the trek ended It was beyond my expectations.
Never had I learned soo much on a trek, from finding your own path, to reading maps and figuring out directions, to breathtaking views with no signs of any other human being other than us.
We connected with nature, responded and adjusted to it, like it was always meant to be.
I am soo thankful to Johann & Sam for making this happen. They are wonderful people with soo much energy and passion for what they do.
Indeed this is one of my favorite experience in the last 5 years of trekking & traveling. I cannot wait to join them again.
Also, they are very cautious about safety and the environment and they made sure we left no trace behind.

If you have ever visited the mountains of 𝗞𝗮𝗹𝗮𝘃𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗻 & 𝗣𝗿𝗮𝗯𝗮𝗹𝗴𝗮𝗱 in Panvel with us or by yourself, you may have been served some of the tastiest Maharashtrain food with much generosity by a villager named Namdev Bhutambara.
More than a week ago, 𝗡𝗮𝗺𝗱𝗲𝘃 𝗕𝗵𝗮𝘂 𝘀𝘂𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗮 𝗛𝗮𝗲𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗿𝗵𝗮𝗴𝗲. He has since then undergone surgery and is making slow progress, but is required to be kept in the 𝗜𝗖𝗨 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝗩𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗿 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗮𝗻𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝘄𝗲𝗲𝗸 𝗼𝗿 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲.
His hospital expenses for a day are roughly working up to
𝗥𝘀 𝟮𝟱,𝟬𝟬𝟬/- 𝗽𝗲𝗿 𝗱𝗮𝘆 (𝗜𝗖𝗨, 𝗩𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗿, 𝗠𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀)
His family with no doubt is struggling to pay for the expenses. The doctors have informed the family that they may have need to deposit 𝟲-𝟭𝟬 𝗟𝗮𝗸𝗵𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗲𝘀.
𝗧𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗽𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗱 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗿𝗮𝗶𝘀𝗲 𝗺𝗼𝗻𝗲𝘆 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗡𝗮𝗺𝗱𝗲𝘃 𝗕𝗵𝗮𝘂 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗳𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗹𝘆. He & his family are simple humble tribals that live in the forests and feed trekkers that pass by on their way up.
If you have ever been served by his family, please do consider making a donation. These are good people who really need all the help they can find right now. We can vouch for them.
𝗜𝗳 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘄𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝗹𝗶𝗸𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗛𝗘𝗟𝗣,
we are listing the bank details of his brother Nilesh below:
In case you have trouble getting in touch with them, you always comment below or inbox us, and we will connect you to them.
In-case you do make a transfer to the account above, please do let us know so that I can thank you for your generosity.
You can also help by simply sharing this post. I believe social media is super powerful and maybe it could do wonders for his family.
Thanks in advance!

There is a lot to pitching a tent? Yes it is easy & quick, but a few rookie mistakes could mess up your entire night. Here’s a timelapse from one of our recent backpacking trips in the forest.
Every tent pitching site is a little different, and you need to adjust your setup accordingly.
On this particular occasion, we came across this pretty place that we decided was perfect to spend the evening and night, and especially great to watch the setting sun.
It was perfect for pitching because it was a vast open grassy area. The soil was soft and not rocky. Most importantly, we had a water source (a tiny stream nearby) which is always a big priority.
We had to pitch before it got dark. Pitching after turns a little tougher.
Have we trained you to pitch a tent before, and did we do a good job? Tell us!

On a Private Hike sometime this week. We certainly love weekdays!
How it all happened!
While pursuing his degree in Zoology at Wilson College, Johann Daniels a.k.a the owner of Jack & Hill Adventures, found himself spending most of his free time out in the forest or cycling long distances.
He found himself immensely attracted to the lush green Sahyadri Hills and all the vibrant biodiversity it was home to. He spent many nights camping atop several peaks only to wake up to glorious mornings amidst nature. Simultaneously, he took up to long distance endurance cycling called Randonneuring. At this point in his life, he was completely obsessed with the outdoors and adventure.
It was in 2009 that he envisioned about starting his own adventure company i.e. to create a career out of something he loved and felt very passionate about. This was the moment that led to the inception of Jack & Hill Adventures.
The Actual Liftoff
After a few career combinations & permutations, the final leap to start the company was finally made in 2015. With the support of friends & family, Jack & Hill Adventures was brought to life.
The company now caters to an array of activities such as Sailing, Cycling, Trekking, Camping, Wildlife Trails and customized trips. Jack & Hill Adventure has always intended to distinguish itself by offering the highest standards of quality outdoor experiences with zero compromises on safety.
