Takmak fort is one of the underrated and less known forts in and around Palghar region.
History:
The fort was built in the 12th century by King Bheemdev, son of King Bhimdev.
Takmak fort received importance after Chimaji Appaβs Vasai campaign. Maratha warrior won Takmak fort in 1732 from Portuguese.
This was later handed over to Britishers who used this as watchtower as well as Jail due to due to its strategic location.

Day 4 of the road trip to Goa with Shoe Drill Adventures.
After enjoying flora and fauna of Bhagwan Mahavir Wildlife sanctuary it was time to move towards very popular waterfalls in Goa Dudhsagar.
Located around 60 kilometres away from Goa, on the Goa and Karnataka border, Dudhsagar waterfall is amongst the five highest waterfalls in India. With a height of around 310m (1017ft) and about 100ft in width, Dudhsagar Waterfalls displays a tremendous power of nature, creating a sight worth capturing.
This gorgeous four-tier waterfall became more popular after its presence in the blockbuster movie- Chennai Express in 2013. It is now one of the most popular spots for tourists visiting Goa and nearby places.
