Embarking on a journey of discovery with expert naturalists and during the Tree Walk at , participants from Arun Muchhala International College of Hotel Management were treated to an enlightening experience, delving into the fascinating world of remarkable trees.

From the iconic Indian Rubber Tree, utilized in the creation of Meghalaya's treasured Tree root bridges, to the majestic Baobab tree, often transformed into unique restaurants across Africa, and the essential Chocolate tree for crafting delectable chocolates, attendees were introduced to a diverse array of botanical wonders.

Through collaboration with and , this immersive journey culminated in a symbolic tree planting within the zoo's lush premises. Expert advice on conservation practices was shared, alongside dispelling common myths surrounding trees, while participants were enthralled with captivating fun facts about these botanical marvels.

This experiential and educational endeavor left a lasting impact on all involved, offering a unique blend of knowledge, inspiration, and appreciation for the natural world.

The way, forests have been harvested invasively in the past two centuries, our greed has crossed oceans to quench its undying thirst. Coral reefs are sights of plunder for far too many. These ecosystems are sanctuaries for fish and coral alike. They had been living in harmony for millennia but it has taken less than decades to bring them close to ruin. However, all hope is not lost. The Coral Triangle Initiative on Coral Reefs, Fisheries, and Food Security (CTI-CFF) has been established by the countries that are part of the Coral Triangle. It is a multilateral partnership to sustain extraordinary marine and coastal resources by addressing crucial issues such as food security, climate change and marine biodiversity.
