Day 10 & 11:

Reached Thekkady in about 2 hours and explored the elephant park, did some spices shopping and skipped the famous kathakalli and kalaripattu shows. Ended the day with dinner and returned to the stay right at the border of the jungle. Midnite spotted wild animals in their natural habitat right from the room window.Next day early morning headed to periyar national park boating safari. Although the ride was scenic but did spot any animals nearby. From there we started the journey towards Varkala.

Day 6: Nilambur to Attirapally
Time to explore the nilambur teak museum - the only teak museum in the world and headed to Atthirpilly waterfall, the famous waterfall of the Bahubali movie scene.
Midway luck by chance saw cultural carnivals.

Day 5: Ooty to Nilambur
Early morning took a bus to coonoor from there took the toy train ride from Coonoor to Ooty
After that the journey from Ooty to Nilambur begins covering
9 miles shooting point,
Eucalyptus forest, Pykara dam and power house
Evening by 6 reached Nilambur n took a rest.

Today after breakfast explore Dodabetta peak,
Tea factory, Chocolate factory, Govt Botanical garden, Ootymarket and in the evening enjoyed bornfire n music @ the zostel

Day 2: Calicut - Wayanand
After breakfast went to kalikund parshwanath temple near old railway bridge and started the journey to Wayanad. On the way passed 9 hair pin bends and saw the view points. Spotted heavy rain during off season which was not normal. In Wayanand first went to exotic bird park at pookade lake
Had lunch at 1980s (can't miss this place)
Than went to the Uravu bamboo workshop and explored bamboo art. From here by evening headed to karaphuza with a lake view room had dinner and relaxed.

Harischandra gad one of my favourite treks. The place where i like to go again n again. After a long time again to the same place with amazing people and submitted the second highest peak of Maharashtra "Taramati" on the same day. Had a nice round trek from Pachnai - harishchandra gad - Taramati - Harischandra gad - Pachnai.

Early morning after the beautiful sunrise it was time to swim in the beautiful beach and start our beach hopping. From Belakan - Paradise - Half moon - Om beach - Kundle with a lucky day of spotting the dolphin near Kudle beach we moved to gokarna beach and ended our journey by trying local cousins at gokarna market.

We start our first day in paradise. Had some fine local cuisine and got ready to explore the mythical and mysterious caves at Yana. From here we moved to the secret beach, a rarely visited beach by most tourists. We had a chill evening at the beach enjoying the sunset away from the crowds and the noise of the world. After the sunset we head back to our swiss tent and enjoyed the night at the beach again with fine dinner and fun game

Early morning we headed to our scuba lessons and geared up to make sure everything fits alright. We spent most of the day deep in the Arabian Sea n saw beautiful and flourishing marine life at this beautiful heart-shaped Netrani Island. After an exhilarating day of diving, we all headed back to the coast and witnessed a lovely sunset at Murdeshwar Temple.

Planned to meet my childhood friend so it was the time to say good bye to south goa but before moving I cannot miss the explore Cabo de Rama beach and the Pebble beach. One can have an experiential stay at this place. One of the the best sport to see the sunset plus the beach is also very clean.. Time for a long ride to North goa for the party time.

On the 7th after the work no one was at the campsite so by 4 we decided to jump in the lake and do kayaking and celebrate friendship day. At the campsite were singing songs n playing cards till midnight 3

On 8th Aug my other 2 friends were coming on bike to celebrate my birthday plan. The plan was to start the journey to secret waterfall by 7 in the morning but due to some problem the trip started by 9. We reached to our destination by 12 visiting temple n breakfast on the way. As soon as we reached we started the trek to the waterfall, I was in love with the nature trail. “Beautiful place n atmosphere.”Our Luck was so good that while doing hike it was continuously raining which made our trip more easy and enjoyable. We were at the waterfall till 5 in the evening. We all were hungry as no one had lunch n have played a lot in the waterfall so after completing the hike we went to eat some snacks.
Now it was party time, my pre birthday celebration before 9th Aug. The dinner and some drinks was arranged with a good collection of music to enjoy the night. We all spend out night with dance, board games, talks n lots of smile on each other faces. Than at 12 in the midnight cut my cake received some calls n messages from my friends m family n continued the party till 4 in the night.

It’s my birthday day ie 9th Aug. One of my friend woke me up before the time by 7 in the morning so I did some mischief by pillow fight n splashing water on her face for not letting me sleep 😛. It was 8 in the morning and wake up call for everyone to get ready in 30 min for breakfast n by 9 leave for secret waterfall. At the time when we were having breakfast we came to know, due to heavy rain the place was shut down, we got a little disappointed but we had a back up plan. The place was so amazing n private as no one knew about this place we were there till 3 in the afternoon.

The birthday was well spend n by 4 in the evening had lunch n than by 11:45pm reached home, cut the cake with my family N slept collecting lots of memories 😀

Jivdhan Fort is a Hill Fort one kilometer away from Naneghat Pass, Ghatghar, Junnar. The trekking route initially is covered in the dense forest leading to amazing views. Many campsites and homestays are available near the starting point of the trek. The road leading to the fort has been improved.

Jivdhan Fort Trek included in the famous five treks in the Junnar region. You can club them together in two days if you are touring in your private car Hadsar Fort, Naneghat Ghat, Shivneri Fort, Chavand Fort, and Jivdhan Fort the famous five. Jivdhan Naneghat trek can be combined together to cover two locations during one trekking tour.

We did the same. We ascend from Jivdhan fort and descend from Naneghat. The funny part is it takes less time to descend from Naneghat rather than to drive down from Jivdhan fort to Naneghat if u are planning to leave for Mumbai after the trek.

Naneghat……the name nane means "coin" and ghat means "pass". The name is given because this path was used as a ‘tollbooth’ to collect toll from traders crossing the hills…This was the most important trade routes, as it is connected to harbour of Sopara and Kalyan directly to Junnar and Paithan. It’s a good place to trek specially in monsoon and winter to enjoy the beautiful scenery and weather…. We left from mumbai in the early morning and started trekking by 9:00 am….It was just 2500 ft to climb from “Vaishakhare village” but had a great time climbing approximately around 1200 ft – 1500 ft against the ‘water’… It feel so good that I did not wanted to leave the place while climbing and enjoy the force of water by sitting on the ‘rock patch’……...Last but not the least enjoyed to climb the last patch of 200 ft ie above the cave and was just felling like we are entering the heaven....What a amazing experiece sitting at the edge of the mountain and there were fog all around....
