Tourbugs, a venture by an adventure loving couple who left their corporate desk jobs to explore and appreciate the beauty around. We are a group of enthusiasts bitten by the touring bug looking to inspire people to take up adventure on wheels. Our story goes back in time when we both were riding through the Himalayas for the very first time! We met many people, saw beautiful landscapes, experience
d nature, culture, explored elusive places. That was the time we decided to start this venture and go on the rides/ journeys beyond just a vacation. If you are looking for destinations less travelled, new cultures, cuisines, terrains, wildlife! Come, experience unusual, scenic and rugged mountains with us! We specialise in bike rides to Ladakh, Spiti, Zanskar, North East of India, Western Ghats & Coastal trails. Our itineraries are different from regular tourist agents or travel companies. We want you to explore and experience and not just visit the places. Each itinerary is curated as per the region and includes all the things one should experience when on the ride. Some of the itineraries are extreme for motorcyclists who want to ride in the unexplored terrain. When not in the Himalayas, we host camping trips near Pune at our own campsite. The real camping experience! We make camping out easier for you by carrying all the camping gears and necessary equipment. All you need to do is just show up for the camping and we promise, you will have a blast.

The Lost Army of Alexander . . A community which for thousands of years have lived in isolation in their inaccessible villages- The Brokpa Cummunnity These villages are situated on the banks of Indus River Darchik, Garkon & Dah. . . They have distinct features – tall and statuesque, with green eyes, high cheek bone, fair with flawless skin and some with blonde hair. They are the pure bloodline of the Aryans & direct descendants from the Alexander’s Army. . . This tribe has rather successfully been able to keep its gene pool intact, using strong social sanctions and rules. This tribe is identified by a colorful headgear called Tepi that has various colorful props attached, embellished with colorful berry flowers. The red flowers shown in picture called as ‘Montho’ by them. This flower doesn’t fade even for a year. The women wear heavy metal, gold and silver jewellery along with full length sheep skin capes and sheep wool dress! Old metal coins are part of the accessory. All married people put it, it signifies our love and prosperity and is considered auspicious. . . Either these people were remnants of the Alexander’s Greek army or the original Aryan race from which all the Indo-European people descended. Any inter mixing with outsiders by way of marriage and kinship is forbidden in this Community. These villages are beautiful located in deep valley with steep sides, overlooking overflowing Indus River. The irrigation system is well planned to cultivate many Vegetables and fruits.
