On the expedition recently posted - We would like to post some clarifications based on calls/queries received so far -
1. This is not a leisure ride - please join only if you have enough riding experience especially on elevation and tough gradients
2. ⁠These routes though close to Pune are relatively unexplored and you will not find much information on Strava or other such forums of these routes
3. ⁠These places are relatively remote hence not much facilities are available hence backup and support is required- this will lead to higher than usual costs
4. ⁠The route though challenging is very scenic and relatively unexplored so you will have a great adventure and experience
5. The reason for doing this as an overnight expedition is again that it’s an extremely challenging route with our 2k meters elevation and equal descents and even descents are tough considering nature of roads - so the participants will need rest
6. ⁠the technical training will be related to bike fit - basic tips of maintenance of bike handling breakup during rides like tyre punctures etc -
7. while during ride we want you to be focused, and we are not riding, will have a lot of fun .

A special shout-out to our beloved father-son duo, Neel and Ranjeet Dighe, as they gear up for the thrilling Malshej Ghat 100k Cycling Tour with RCC on October 21. Ranjeet, with a cycling journey spanning nine years, stands as a beacon of inspiration. Having conquered 13500+ kilometers over 409 rides, his most notable feat includes a challenging 143-kilometer ride with an elevation gain of over 2000 meters near Ooty last year. Meanwhile, Neel, riding the trails for three years, boasts a longest ride of 100 kilometers. Together, this dynamic duo triumphed in RCC's signature ride, Panshet Parikrama in 2023. Ranjeet, a professional in the reusable packaging services realm for automotive tier 1 vendors or OEMs, brings his wealth of experience to the cycling terrain. In his three-year cycling journey, Amit has pedaled nearly 200 kilometers, showcasing a dedication to the sport that goes beyond numbers. His cycling ventures include conquering the route from DSK Vishwa to Sinhgad base four times, a testament to his enduring spirit. A salute to the indomitable spirit of adventure embodied by Arun Nevase Sir, who joins the ranks of RCC's Malshej Ghat 100k Cycling Tour on October 21. Having pedaled an awe-inspiring 17500 kilometers post-COVID, Arun Sir, retired from the Government of Maharashtra's Department of Agriculture, exemplifies boundless enthusiasm for cycling. His cycling odyssey includes conquering the lengthy Pune to Pandharpur route spanning 220 kilometers and accomplishing iconic rides such as the Gateway of India ride, Pandharpur to Ghuman (Punjab), Pandharpur Wari 5 times, and the 11 Maruti ride , among others. A recent milestone in his cycling repertoire is the breathtaking Uttarakhand ride covering Panchchuli, Munshiyari, and Nainital. Raw Adventure Solutions - Harishchandragad trek on 22 Oct

We will start from law college road Pune at 10.30 pm by private bus and reach Pachnai till early morning, have breakfast and start our trek, reach Harishchandreshwar temple till 9.30 am, keep our bags there and visit Kokankada, we will be back to Temple for lunch and climb down to Pachnai till 4 pm, and reach Pune till 10 pm.

You should bring two waterbottles, a plate, a bowl, a glass and extra dress with you.
Wear trekking or sports shoes and a sun cap. Avoid wearing shorts.
