Nature Ramblers' Excursion: Bhigwan Bird Sanctuary and Bhuleshwar Mahadev Temple on 10th December 2023

🔭 Bird Watching at Bhigwan Bird Sanctuary:
We embarked on an unforgettable journey with Nature Ramblers to Bhigwan Bird Sanctuary and Bhuleshwar Mahadev Temple, blending wildlife, bird watching, and a heritage walk. Our day started at the crack of dawn, departing from Pune at 5 a.m.
Agnipankha Flamingo Point:
Our first stop was Kumbhargaon at Agnipankha Flamingo Point, a haven for birders, especially those seeking captivating shots of Greater Flamingos. After a delectable breakfast, we set sail on the backwaters of the renowned Ujni Dam, spending 2 hours and 45 minutes immersed in birding bliss. From Painted Storks to Ospreys, the birdlife extravaganza was a visual feast.
📷 Flamingo Flight and More:
The pièce de résistance was undoubtedly the spectacle of Flamingos in flight, a breath-taking moment frozen in our lenses. Bar-headed Geese added the perfect icing on the cake, soaring gracefully through the skies. Our cameras were busy capturing the elegance of various water birds.
🍲 Maharashtrian Culinary Delights:
After the avian adventure, we indulged in a scrumptious lunch featuring authentic Maharashtrian cuisine, including Zunka-Bhakri, Mirchicha Kharda, Papad, Curd, Salad, and Rice. A perfect refuel before our next adventure!
⛪ Bhuleshwar Mahadev Temple:
Our journey continued to the ancient Bhuleshwar Mahadev Temple, a marvel built between the 10th and 11th centuries by the Chalukya dynasty. The intricate carvings and sculptures left us awe-struck, providing a glimpse into the rich heritage of India.

As we bid adieu to Bhuleshwar, our hearts were filled with joy and gratitude for an incredible day.
