This journey takes place in Himachal Pradesh, close to Chandigarh, and the Churdhar Peak is the highest peak in the outside Himalayan range, with an elevation of 3655 meters. Churdhar Trek is the highest mountain in the outer Himalayan range.

The panoramic view from the top encompasses a huge expanse of lowland tracts. It includes the peaks of Badrinath and Kedarnath to the north, with the latter featuring the site of Badrinath.

These Himalayan hills have a plethora of plants and stunning alpine vegetation. While walking through the wildlife sanctuary, one may see the magnificent monal, which is Himachal Pradesh's state bird, and koklass and Khaleej pheasants.

Just below the top of Churdhar peak lies the Srigul temple, which has a lingam devoted to Shiva and a deodar-roofed, single-story square structure.

During the Navratri festival, pilgrims gather at this old temple to chant and dance in the dark. Trekkers cross tiny glaciers on their route to the Churdhar top, which receives moderate to severe snowfall because of the windy conditions. It is typical for the Srigul temple to be buried underneath it.

The sight of a rainbow appearing on the horizon after a downpour is a beautiful sight to see. The multi-colored beams of light spilling out of the cloud cover give the impression that the sky is a massive chandelier.
