Nithin Nandakumar .E Memorial Award is an award established in the name of Nithin Nandakumar .E(late) and is awarded for the meritorious students in Bharat Scouts & Guides movement.Nithin Nandakumar was a highly talented scout from 82nd Scout Troop, De Paul HSS, Choondal – A Rashtrapathi Badge holder. He hails from a medium family in Choondal Grama Panchayat near ‘Thayamkavu’ temple.He joined the
movement when he was in 5th standard. He showed extra talents at all levels of progress. He was a good scout, troop leader, brother, friend and a social worker to all. He later continued in 82nd Rover troop also. After completing secondary education from De Paul, he completed his higher secondary education at St. Thomas College HSS,Thrissur.Later he joined for engineering degree in Mechatronics department at Hindustan College of Engineering and Technology,Coimbatore.A bike accident happened on 25th of July 2012,evening took him from us and the physical world.The prize was first awarded to Best Scouting Unit and Guiding Unit of the year 2013-2014 in Chavakkad Educational District,Thrissur.Later the award was given for the Best Scout and Best Guide of the year in De Paul HSS,Choondal.This award was first awarded in 2013 and is awarded jointly by his family and by 2008-2009 10th batch of De Paul.
