Bengaluru to Lakshadweep Takes Flight: IndiGo Launches Daily Service with Water Salute Welcome
Lakshadweep's pristine beaches and turquoise waters are now a closer escape for travelers from Bengaluru! IndiGo marked a new chapter in connectivity today with the inaugural flight between Bengaluru's Kempegowda International Airport (BLR) and Agatti Airport (AGX) in Lakshadweep.
The historic first flight, operated by an ATR 72 aircraft registered as VT-IRI, received a warm welcome at Agatti airport with a traditional water salute. This daily service promises to boost tourism to the archipelago, known for its idyllic beauty and serene atmosphere.
This exciting development doesn't stop there. IndiGo has further plans to expand its Lakshadweep network with the introduction of daily flights between Kochi (KOI) and Agatti expected this summer. This will provide travelers with even more convenient options to access this hidden paradise.
