Amalfi Coast

La costiera amalfitana è il tratto di costa campana, situato a sud della pen*sola sorrentina, che si affaccia sul golfo di Salerno; è delimitato ad ovest da Positano e ad est da Vietri sul Mare. È un tratto di costa famoso in tutto il mondo per la sua bellezza naturalistica, sede di importanti insediamenti turistici. Considerato patrimonio dell'umanità dall'UNESCO prende il nome dalla città di Amalfi, nucleo centrale della Costiera non solo geograficamente, ma anche storicamente. La costiera amalfitana è nota per la sua eterogeneità: ognuno dei paesi della Costiera ha il proprio carattere e le proprie tradizioni. La costiera amalfitana è nota anche per alcuni prodotti tipici, come il limoncello, liquore ottenuto dai limoni della zona (sfusato amalfitano), le alici e le conserve di pesce prodotte a Cetara, e le ceramiche realizzate e dipinte a mano a Vietri.
