When you arrive, you will visit Bar Vitelli with its collection of photographs taken when The Godfather was being filmed. Located in a private house, this bar was the setting for Michael Corleone asking Apollonia's father to meet his daughter.

Before setting out on your slow walking excursion through the town, you will enjoy a lemon granita, a tangy Italian ice that is quite popular. Stroll along the main street of Savoca and up the hill, all the while seeing the 15th and 16th-century architecture of the many churches and what remains of the Norman Castle. From here, the panoramic views of the valley are stunning.

Forza d'Agro, a quaint village overlooking the Arab-Norman castle of Capo Sant'Alessio, is the next stop on your adventure. Scenes from The Godfather III were filmed here. Located on the lower peak of a small mountain, the village is a throwback in time with its traditional buildings and pedestrian-only stone-paved lanes. You will climb the circular steps from the main square up to the Church of St. Agostino, the backdrop for Michael Corleone's first arrival in Sicily. It was also featured in The Godfather II during the mafia hunt for Vito Corleone. Last but certainly not least, you will visit the Chiesa Madre, built in the Baroque architectural style.
