PRESS RELEASE 30-01-2014
DIG- Salone del Mobile 2014
Fourteen international design students have been selected to show their works at the Salone del Mobile. The Italian design week will be held from the 8th till 13th of April 2014 in Milan. The young designers from all over the world, are together creating: DIG. The name stands for Design International Graduates, and also describes their ability
to dig for problems and answers to make better projects.
“This application is very special to us. The most of us have never shown our projects like this before so it will be a great opportunity. More importantly this is the last thing we will do together as a class before we leave Milan, and go back home to our separate countries.”
Even though the students have the same classes, the variety of interests are quite wide. Some are heading towards interior design, some like electronics and other products, and others lamps and light, but for this application they all decided on the theme «kitchen». The items are divided between them, among with the different tasks they need to do to reach their goal.
“We cant wait to get to show our products together as a group and a class, to make wonderful experiences, and to grow both as designers and individuals.”
The young talents are coached by the Milanese professor Christian Buzio and the Israeli professor Hagit Pincovici: “Prof. Buzio helps us realize each product, mainly he helps us to find the appropriate materials for each product”
