There is a village, in Terre di Pisa, that has a peculiar, spiral shape. A spiral that goes upward, in a succession of alleys and colorful houses. We are talking about Santa Maria a Monte, an enchanting place, guardian of an underground city featuring communicating tunnels dug underground. Here, on Easter Monday, the traditional procession of the "Paniere" takes place, in honor to Beata Diana Giuntini, the patron saint of the town.
