🌟 Jordanian German Energy Event 🌍

H.E. Dr. Saleh Al-Kharabsheh, Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources, visited the German Energy Academy in Jordan, highlighting the importance of the academy in preparing trainees, providing them with the necessary skills, and facilitating their access to the labor market so that they can be partners in the energy transition process. Al-Kharabsheh appreciated the German government’s support to Jordan in different sectors, especially in the energy sector, emphasizing on the importance of this partnership, which we are proud of its outcomes and the stage it has reached today.

The German Ambassador, Dr. Bertram von Moltke on the other side, said today's event builds on strong diplomatic energy relations and successful cooperation in the energy field between Jordan and Germany. Considering both countries as leaders in their regions with ambitious renewable energy goals, Dr. Bertram added, “His Excellency the Minister and I had the opportunity to visit the German Energy Academy this morning. It is the place where knowledge of the transition to green energy is developed, and we had inspiring exchanges with the students.”

At the end of the meeting, Dr. Al-Kharabsheh and the Dr. Bertram handed over graduation certificates to the second patch graduates of the German Energy Academy in the topics of solar energy installation and energy efficiency. Dr. Bertram considered this step as another example of the Jordanian-German energy partnership because the graduates are accredited according to the German standards and issued by the German Chamber of Industry and Commerce Abroad. .🌞🔌

🌟 فعالية الشراكة الأردنية الألمانية في قطاع الطاقة! 🌍

قام معالي الدكتور صالح الخرابشة، وزير الطاقة والثروة المعدنية، بزيارة تفقدية لأكاديمية الطاقة الألمانية في الأردن من خلالها أهمية الأكاديمية في اعداد المتدربين وتزويدهم بالمهارات اللازمة وإعدادهم وتسهيل وصولهم إلى سوق العمل وليكونوا شركاء في عملية التحول الطاقي، وثمن الخرابشة دعم الحكومة الألمانية للأردن في قطاعات مختلفة وخصوصا في قطاع الطاقة، مؤكدا استمرار هذه الشراكة التي نفخر بمخرجاتها والمرحلة التي وصلت اليها اليوم.

من جانبه قال السفير الألماني د. بيرترام فون مولتكه أن حدث اليوم يبنى على علاقات الطاقة الدبلوماسية القوية والتعاون الناجح في مجال الطاقة بين الأردن وألمانيا. معتبرا كلا البلدين رائدين في منطقتيهما مع أهداف طموحة للطاقة المتجددة وأضاف د.بيرترام " لقد أتيحت لنا أنا ومعالي الوزير فرصة زيارة أكاديمية الطاقة الألمانية هذا الصباح. إنه المكان الذي يتم فيه تطوير المعرفة الخاصة بالتحول إلى الطاقة الخضراء وقد أجرينا تبادلات ملهمة مع الطلاب.".

وفي نهاية اللقاء سلّم د. صالح الخرابشة و د. بيرترام شهادات التخرج على خريجي أكاديمية الطاقة الألمانية الجدد في موضوعات أنظمة الطاقة الشمسية وكفاءة الطاقة، حيث اعتبر مولتكه هذه الشهادات مثالاً آخر على شراكة الطاقة الأردنية الألمانية لأنها مبنية على المعايير الألمانية وصادرة عن غرفة الصناعة والتجارة الألمانية.

🌟 Exciting News! 🌟

In collaboration with DEinternational, the service unit of the German-Arab Chamber of Commerce, supports the proceedings of the Jordanian-German Energy Business Council. We are pleased to have hosted the Jordanian-German Energy Business Council's third meeting on Thursday, September 21.

Representatives from the public and corporate sectors of Jordan and Germany attended the meeting to discuss business prospects in the country's energy industry and to work together to advance a sustainable, reliable, and affordable energy supply in Jordan.

The meeting was opened under the patronage of her excellency Eng. Amani Azzam, Secretary-General of the Jordanian Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, and Dr Florian Reindel, Deputy Head of Mission of the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany in Jordan.

The event started with remarks on the outcomes of the previous Jordanian-German Energy Business Council, which was followed by an overview on the new investment law. Afterwards, a panel discussion was conducted on how this new law affects the opportunities of energy transition investment.

The Jordanian-German Energy Partnership, initiated in April 2019, is a collaborative effort between the German Federal Government and the Government of Jordan. It seeks to enhance bilateral dialogue, ensuring a sustainable, affordable, and dependable energy supply. Jordan is one of 20 countries engaged in such energy dialogues with Germany, fostering knowledge exchange and driving the transition to renewable energy.

This partnership is led by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action and the Jordanian Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources. Facilitating their work is the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH, with secretariats in Amman and Berlin.

Introducing the Tafila Wind Farm, one of Jordanian renewable energy symbols that highlights the commitment to a greener and more sustainable future! This wind farm stands as a testament to the incredible potential of renewable energy. With its 38 towering wind turbines, the Tafila Wind Farm generates a whopping 390 GWh yearly of clean and renewable electricity, enough to power over 83,000 homes while significantly reducing carbon emissions. Each rotation of those majestic blades is a step towards a healthier planet and a brighter tomorrow.

🌬️💨 استغلال قوة الرياح: مزرعة الرياح في الطفيلة 💨🌬️
نقدّم لكم مزرعة الرياح في الطفيلة، وهي احدى رموز الأردن الدالة على التزامه بمستقبل أكثر خضرة وأكثر استدامة، وتُعد تجسيدًا للإمكانات الرائعة للطاقة المتجددة. بفضل 38 توربين رياح ضخم، تولّد مزرعة الرياح في الطفيلة ما يصل إلى 390 جيجاوات سنويا من الكهرباء النظيفة والمتجددة. هذا يكفي لتزويد أكثر من 83,000 منزل بالكهرباء وتقليل انبعاثات الكربون بشكل كبير. كل دورة لهذه التوربينات المهيبة تمثل خطوة نحو كوكب أكثر صحة ومستقبل أكثر إشراقًا. 🌍💚

A high-level delegation from the Ministry of Electricity and Renewable Energy of Egypt accompanied by H.E Eng. Amani Al Azzam, the Secretary General of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources of Jordan visited the German energy academy (GEA) in Jordan, the delegation represented by Dr. Amgad Saied, Legal Advisor for the Minister, Dr. Ahmed Mohina First Undersecretary for Strategic Planning and Performance Follow up and International Cooperation, and Mr. Hazem Abd Elhaleem General manager of the International Cooperation and Agreement department. The visit included an introduction to GEA and its activities, and a tour to GEA labs, during the visit the guests engaged with GEA trainees who shared their experience and gained firsthand insights into the comprehensive curriculum and cutting-edge training programs offered by GEA.

قام وفد رفيع المستوى من وزارة الكهرباء والطاقة المتجددة في مصر بزيارة أكاديمية الطاقة الألمانية في الأردن ورافق الوفد عطوفة المهندسة أماني العزام الأمين العام لوزارة الطاقة والثروة المعدنية الأردنية، ومثل الوفد كل من سعادة الدكتور أمجد سعيد، المستشار القانوني للوزير وسعادة الدكتور أحمد مهينه وكيل أول الوزارة للتخطيط الاستراتيجي ومتابعة الأداء والتعاون الدولي والسيد حازم عبد الحليم مدير عام قسم التعاون الدولي والاتفاقيات. تضمنت الزيارة شرحا عن الأكاديمية وأنشطتها وجولة في مختبرات الأكاديمية بالإضافة الى حديث مع متدربي الأكاديمية الذين شاركوا الوفد تجربتهم من خلال الدورات التدريبية التي تقدمها الأكاديمية.

أقامت وزارة الطاقة والثروة المعدنية بدعم من الشراكة -الأردنية الألمانية في مجال الطاقة الدورة التدريبية الثالثة المتخصصة في مجال الابتكار بعنوان "إداري إبتكاري" بمشاركة موظفين من وزارة الطاقة والثروة المعدنية، خلال الفترة من 23-27 تموز 2023 تهدف الدورة إلى تعريف المشاركين بمفهوم الابتكار ودوره في ريادة المؤسسات وتمكينهم بالتدريب العملي من استخدام أدوات توليد الأفكار وتطبيقها لخلق أفكار أكثر وذات جودة أفضل.تأتي أهمية الدورة في تمكين المشاركين من ممارسة التطبيق العملي لمخرجات تدريبهم على أرض الواقع من خلال تحديد التحديات التي يواجها القطاع والوزارة للخروج بحلول ابتكارية وقابلة للتطبيق لهذه التحديات مما يساهم في خلق فرص نمو جديدة للوزارة والقطاع.

The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, with the support of the Jordanian German Energy Partnership, held the third training course " Certified Innovation Professional” with the participation of the Ministry of Energy & Mineral resources employees, during the period 23-27 July 2023. The course aims to introduce participants to the concept of innovation and its role in leading institutions, and to enable them, through practical training, to use and apply ideas generation tools to create more ideas of better quality.The importance of the course comes in enabling the participants to practice the outputs of their training on the ground by identifying the challenges faced by the sector and the ministry in order to come up with innovative and applicable solutions to these challenges, which creates new growth opportunities for the ministry and the sector.

Industrial Solar and JTI have partnered to make a positive impact on the environment and work towards a sustainable world. Through the adoption of Industrial Solar's advanced Fresnel System, JTI is making a significant impact in reducing it's carbon footprint.
This innovative system allows JTI to lower carbon dioxide emissions by 300 tons per year, while also achieving an annual yield of 1350 MWh.

اتحدت جهود شركتا Industrial Solar وJTI لتحقيق تأثير إيجابي على البيئة والعمل نحو عالم مستدام. من خلال اعتماد نظام الطاقة الشمسية المتقدم الخاص بشركة Industrial Solar باستخدام مرايا فريسنل، حققت شركة JTI تأثيراً كبيراً في تقليل أثرها الكربوني. يتيح هذا النظام الابتكاري لشركة JTI خفض انبعاثات ثاني أكسيد الكربون بمقدار 300 طن في السنة، بالإضافة إلى تحقيق إنتاجية سنوية تبلغ 1350 ميجاواط ساعة.
