The History:
Rudolph Habesch & Sons Co. was officially registered with the Jordanian government authorities in Jerusalem on 1st of March 1951. Capitalizing on extensive experience in running own printing press in Jerusalem (1927-1948) the founder and his son started marketing and selling printing machinery and supplies in Jerusalem, the west bank and Jordan. In 1954 the company moved to Amman, Jordan, where due to the small size of the markets, carpentry and metal working machinery were added along with agriculture equipment's, cosmetics, confectionery, coffee and chocolate plant equipment and supplies. In 1963 Polaroid's Instant Magic was introduced to the local market and proved an instant success. Building on this economic success the company expanded and introduced sunglasses, experimented with a local paper clip factory, a reinsurance business (The Near East insurance representing Gresham of London) and started exploring all aspects of the Printing and Graphic Arts business. The 1970's, 80's, 90's were characterized with a strong and expanding presence in the printing (letterpress, offset, web offset, silkscreen) and graphic arts business, office equipment, photographic optical, identification and imaging equipment as well as paper and ink.
