"Ever seen anything like this? Watching these bulls for long periods is fascinating. Their behaviour is part of complex social structures that serve many purposes. They spar aggressively to establish dominance, determine hierarchy and test each otherβs strength and skill. After sparring, they embrace as a way to strengthen their social bonds. It demonstrates that the sparring wasnβt meant to cause harm but part of their natural interaction. It helps maintain peace and cohesion in the group. The trunk intertwining is a sign of mutual respect. If one bull emerges more dominant, the act of embracing acknowledges the otherβs strength and reinforces the social structure without escalating aggression. So fascinating and utterly captivating. I donβt think Iβll ever get my head around just how sophisticated their social structures are. Itβs unbelievable" @harryblakeyphotography

The Great Wildebeest Migration
One of the most sought-after experiences for wildlife and nature enthusiasts, the Great Migration is the ever-moving circular migration of over a million animals across the Serengeti-Mara ecosystem.
The constant movement of columns of wildebeest, joined by a host of companions, follow an age-old route in search of grazing and water. After calving in the southern part of Tanzaniaβs Serengeti near the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, the animals journey through the Serengeti up and around in a clockwise direction towards the Masai Mara in Kenya, before returning once again near the end of the year.
Along the way, high drama is always present, as thousands of animals are taken by predators and thousands more are born, replenishing the numbers and sustaining the circle of life.

There is a buzzing energy that soars across the Mara North and when weeks of searching accumulates to one remarkable moment of pure joy as 3 young and innocent cubs make their first official appearance. Their mother has done a phenomenal job thus far in keeping these cubs safe through thoughtful and instinctual parenting however there is still a long way to go and she will need the help of the whole Serian pride as well as little good fortune to ensure that this next generation makes it!

Reason to book your Safari with us
Natural History Moment witnessed in Masai Mara, Kenya last week! Usha Narrates.
We were speechless , and spellbound with what encounter happened between herds of buffaloes and a pride of lions!
The way the pride of 18 with one Big male lion started attacking and cornering this mother and calf buffalo was tough to watch.
But the resilience, and the the way the mother defended her baby was unbelievable. But she was no match for these hungry carnivores.
In all my years of safaris in Masai Mara, this was my first time to understand the behaviour and dynamics of buffalo herd vs lions!

** Neck-to-Neck Combat **
In the whoβs who of the boxing world we would like to proudly present our very own Mayweather versus McGregor of the animal kingdom. These two bulls were literally at it βneck and neckβ but in the end, as we all know, there can only be one winnerβ¦
Male giraffes fight with their necks because it's the most powerful and maneuverable weapon they have. Bulls fight to establish dominance or to win the right to mate with the females in a particular area. Necking in their world is the most violent and unpleasant experience they're ever likely to engage in. These fights are very serious, with the giraffes repeatedly slamming their necks against one another with the intent to cause real injury. They use head butts and the horns on top of their heads, known as ossicones, to inflict damage to the soft underbelly. They may also try a debilitating kick with their hooves.

Did you know?
Lion cubs have light spots on their fur when they are born. These fade when they grow up and they help camouflage, or hide, them when theyβre young.
