On our TBT hike, we'll take a look at our first hike this year; Kihuri Forest.

Location: OTHAYA
Distance: 15km (plus 3km if you chase Thuti Falls)
Difficulty Level: MODERATE TO CHALLENGING.

We'll be chasing another waterfall (two actually) come next weekend. It's Kariminu on 7th September.

After much consideration and consulting, we've decided to switch our next waterfall chase hike from Githobokoini to Kariminu in Kieni forest.

The trail is friendlier to beginners and children so all are welcome. Very scenic.

Point to note; river swimming is very much allowed here. Mark your calendars.

Our next hike takes us to the Shompole Conservancy, 160km from Nairobi. It's sandwiched between Lakes Natron and Magadi. It's in this area that we find Shompole Hill and Lake Natron. From the hill's peak, you'll be able to view the lake and Ewaso Ng'iro river.
Our trail is approximately 12km to and fro.
The trail is bushy and the area experiences high temperatures. So wear long sleeved light clothing, caps and sun visors. Experience the Loondliani Maasai culture and wildlife Sightings.
